My partner and I visited this hotel in the hope of a relaxing day by the pool and wanted somewhere to stay for a couple of nights that had some good basic facilities such as wifi and aircon. From the reviews I was very surprised about the general feel of the hotel which was very similar to a youth hostel. I believe the hotel was hosting a youth sporting event. The lobby was noisy, full of kids running around and clothes draped over most of the balconies on view from the pool. The worse thing was despite the helpful receptionist and polite life guard the noise level around the pool was ridiculous. Reading a book was totally out of the question. The staff around the pool were obsessively tieing knots in t-shirts and constantly playing euro discotheque music along side constant loud mc voice overs. If you like a pool full of wrestling boys, ymca, dj drivel at an unbearable noise level to even have a conversation then visit here in July . Such a shame as the backdrop of the mountains is stunning. We did try visiting again post sporting event/ camp but found it just the same and perhaps even louder. This experience put us off making a booking at the hotel. We really gave it a go. Despite the incredible heat and desperation to access a nice pool it was still unbearable. Perhaps this is totally seasonal...More
