A most serence place to visit...The trip was accentuated by the perfect hosts who provided the best facilities starting from the food to the knowledge about the local herbs and plants...the key highlights of the journey was the adventourous travel from Gushani to the homestay where we spotted a leopard as well, the welcome drink after the long journey, the bonfires at night while roasting fish and potatoes, the camping by the river, taking a bath in the freezing river, fishing, guided trek to the Great Himalayan National Park..and many more such experiences..

The location is more than just perfect, tucked away from the population amidst beautiful surroundings. The rooms are fairly decent for the asked price. However, the host is the major highlight. Right from the moment we arrived, he was available at the drop of the hat to make sure we had what we needed. We were not treated as guests but as close relatives. We had bonfire and chat for hours into the night. There is this constant sound of river that soothes the soul.
Will visit this place again, whenever we have a chance.

Room Tip: the first room is slightly bigger than the others

No amount of words can justify the beauty of the place so i will do the best i can. Located in the Tirthan Valley , about a KM from the small village of Gurshaini lies this beautiful place next to the tirthan river. Started by two brothers (ck and rk) in march of 2017 the rooms are simple and elegant . Wooden rooms with clean bathrooms and a big balcony with the view of the valley is all you need to get rid of all your stress and tension. The food cooked by the younger brother is amazing. From the chicken curry to the rajma chawal to the trout fish ( which you can fish in the river by yourself) is all fresh and delicious.
A lot of small treks to the waterfalls and the great himalayan national park is a delight for nature lovers.
This place is truly one of the hidden gems deep inside the mountains and a must visit.

Unlike many other offbeat places, you will not find any luxury resorts there. Tirthan valley has a lot of good homestays. When we were planning our trip we searched a lot over internet and compared a lot of them on airbnb and tripadvisor, people have mentioned a lot of names like Raju’s Guest House, Khem Bharti Homestays etc. Most of them are very beautiful and beside the river. We did some more research as we were looking for something which is little closer to nature. We chose Tirthan Himalayan Holidays. It was indeed a great homestay, and we enjoyed a lot there because of its great location & awesome hosts.

Room Tip: Top Rooms have very good views.

This particular holiday home is situated a little off route but will give you extraordinary sense of adventure & thrill. Smell of pine wood inside rooms gives you a wonderful feeling. The owner is extremely hospitable and will go extra mile to give tourists a comfortable stay. The view from balcony is amazing, one can walk down & sit beside the river & fish. All in all it’s the best place to stay in tirthan valley.
