En route to Dormy House hotel we wanted somewhere to grab a bite to eat, and we were not disappointed by The Cotswold Food Store Cafe (on the A424). Just a few minutes away from the heavily congested Moreton in Marsh town this fantastic little cafe is an absolute gem.

We rang ahead as we were travelling from Leicester and a table for 2 was reserved for us at 1:30pm. Good job as the cafe was busy with around 30 covers it was not cluttered nor dark, but very clean and airy. A beautiful glazed area looking out across the Cotswolds wonderful countryside makes up the bulk of the seating area.

Food was superb. Only wanting a snack we opted for Baguettes and these came beautifully presented with fresh mixed salad and crisps. Fresh warm bread with Brie, Bacon and Cranberry and another with Coronation Chicken @ £7.50 each.

The homemade flapjack was absolutely delicious, which only left us wanting more. There is also a great selection of homemade cakes and pastries too.

Service was excellent with nice friendly staff, a place we will definitely return to.

This is definately a 5 star family run cafe. First of all, the location is beautiful, looking out the back over farmland. We had coffee on the patio which was lovely. Good menu, lovely fresh cakes. Service from the servers was very hospitable. The building itself is modern, light and airy and there are a selection of things to buy. (They have some very good and funny greetings cards.) A very nice deli out the back with mouth watering local produce. The staff were great. The lady on the deli was lovely and the owner, Bernard is a real character and so friendly and helpful. We will be back. This cafe deserves to be supported by the locals and visitors.

Honestly we stumbled by this wonderful place on route to Bourton on the water, have to say we will deffo return. Proper local good quality produce and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Service is slick you choose from menu and order at the till they deliver it all to your table. Breakfast is till 11:30 but had some lunch a wonderful trenchmans pies with salad (I added chips). Very tasty and for the location, the service and the quality very good good value. You can buy all the produce from the menu so there is a trenchmans pie in my fridge with my name all over again, we had a great time in the Cotswolds and it started right here so thank you, a lunch with happy memories aplenty. See you again!

I had booked a Great Escapes Car Road Tour through the Cotswold for my husbands 60th birthday and we stopped for lunch (which was included in the Tour price - and would highly recommend this experience if you are a classic car lover). The food was amazing (all home cooked), the staff very friendly and helpful and the farm shop a delight. We bought several goodies. This is definitely a must for anyone in the area and we shall certainly be returning. Highly recommended.

We had passed this food store & cafe a couple of times whilst doing the touristy bits around the Cotswolds. Eventually stopping for coffee & cake with our 2 yellow Labradors, I sat outside with the dogs while my wife popped in to order. The coffee was very nice but the home made cakes were fabulous. You must stop off at this place or you are missing a trick.
