A wonderful weekend at The Slate, which I first read about on Expat Choice. We stayed in the pool suite which is beautifully appointed and basically means you never need to leave your room if you don't wish to! But the adults only pool is also a wonderful oasis, and the breakfast at the Tin Mine is exceptional. All the staff are super friendly and accommodating, and the complimentary transfer to and from the airport is a much welcomed and efficient plus. Being so close to Phuket airport is also a major plus for a quick weekend trip from Singapore. Will be back again!

No regrets choosing The Slate for our first overseas family vacation ever since the covid pandemic started. We stayed 5 nights here and every day was lovely. We felt so well taken care of and the resort is so full of nature. Special thanks to Sue and her amazing F&B team for making breakfast time so pleasant and comfortable for us, to Laila and Mar for playing and taking care of our kids so well, and Tanya for giving one of the best massages I ever had. We'll definitely be back!

The Slate
We stayed at the Slate for 10 nights for our honeymoon, and it was the most amazing experience.
Before we even got to the hotel I was in contact with reception as they sorted us out plug adaptors to borrow, an airport transfer and also let me know they were doing a special set up in our room to congratulate us on our honeymoon.
From when we got picked up by the staff, we knew we had chosen the best place.
Each and every one of the staff were absolutely lovely, and constantly went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. The staff at the slate are genuinely the nicest people we have ever met. Nothing is too much trouble and they always go above and beyond expectations.
The hotel itself was also amazing. The grounds are stunning, its extremely clean and well kept, rooms are amazing and no detail has been missed.
The food is excellent too, with a good variety of cuisines at different restaurants and bar areas. We especially enjoyed the Thai cooking class!
A massive thank you from my husband and I, as the Slate really did make our honeymoon perfect. We cannot find one single thing to fault. We hope to be back soon!

We just come back from Thailand (phuket), we stayed at The Slate for 7days and absolutely loved it. The people and services and absolutely wonderful. It more of a tropical hotel so the beach isn't at your door step if you like that, you have to walk out of the hotel to go to the beach. Which we did not mind because the the hotel tropical tree and flowers are beautiful. The food is amazing I didn't have one bad experience with food, they have three restaurants on site so you have a lot of choice even for vegetarians. But the most amazing part are the staff they are amazing they are so friendly even to the rude customer who think they own the world. They recommend so many places to go and see and do they immediately informed us that we may it things cheaper if we went somewhere else rather an where most tourists would go to, but only go there if you like local markets.
They hotel is self is clean they decorated it like contemporary art and you so no white tales and clean lines which is the beauty of the hotel. I loved that they had floor boards and no carpet and tiles it actually made feel clean. House keeping are amazing so if some extra just ask. If have kids I would recommend asking for a ground floor room it would be easier. But if your look for a different kind of hotel with 5 star experience then give The Slate a chance and you want be disappointed.

Great resort, good location on Nai Yang Beach, great staff. When we last stayed at this resort 10 years ago, it was known as the Indigo Pearl. Only the name has changed, service remains the same and the staff are efficient and super friendly and helpful.
