It's a very good looking pub next to the canal so it has an atmosphere. There is a very good selection of real ales mainly Hook Norton.
We had a meal in the courtyard and whilst it was rather expensive, the quality was excellent and the staff attentive and helpful.

We have visited this inn on a number of occasions over the years for morning coffee, lunch or dinner. It is always a pleasure to come here. The beer is really good (I mean proper beer, not lager), the food is good, the atmosphere is very English pub, and the staff are right on the game. We ate the very good pate, the grilled prawns and the Thai chicken and prawn curry. But you might give the sticky toffee pudding a miss because it is not up to standard.

The chosen pub for our first night's stop on our Oxford Canal trip. Very busy, but the staff were still very friendly and efficient. Quite an interesting menu, one of us had the grilled prawns on a skewer - this looked great and was told it lived up to its appearance. My "half fish / half scampi" was good - nice chips!
Not too pricey. We enjoyed it so much we returned for lunch on our way back to the marina a few days later. Thai curry was excellent.

Stayed here for one night. The room was suitable for our needs. The bar was busy of the evening, food was flying out but did not eat as had to book table on arrival. Would stay there again

We came here with a big party for some lunch. The car park is big, and the outside areas are nice. Unfortunately, there were no menus on any tables, so we had to source our own. The sandwiches were nice enough and came with plenty of chips and a side salad. The only issue was the waitress- she kept taking things that weren't finished, including both food and drinks! Just ask if there is still food on a plate! But overall, it was a nice spot for lunch.
