WOW. Took our work team for a Sat lunch at Oakridge and from the minute we arrived we were treated like royalty, even though the restaurant was booked out. Our host very quickly realised we were there for the long haul and set about making us as comfortable as possible. There was no pressure to select 'matching' wines, she preferred to establish what we actually 'liked', and just kept it coming. Sensational wines headed up by the flagship Chardonnay. So so good.
Views from the dining room are spectacular and chef Matt Stone seems to have nailed the menu, somehow making it 'fit' with the surroundings and general ambience. I recommend do not have breakfast, and certainly don't book dinner. This is all you need.
We were pleasantly surprised by the price, which seemed very reasonable in light of where we were, and what we were consuming. To finish off, they do a damn fine coffee, which sounds simple but is often missed regionally.
