We spent 5 days at this resort on the last leg of a 3 centre holiday to Seychelles and we definitely saved the best until last! We arrived mid morning and welcomed by Ryan at lower reception and ceremoniously welcomed by Marvel from customer relations at main reception. We were provided with drinks and pastries whilst we completed the check in formalities and as our room was not ready we were taken to the lounge area to change so we could relax in the resort until our room was available. I gave Marvel my mobile number and as soon as our room was ready she called me and we met up with her again and taken to the room in one of the club cars. Our suitcases were already in the room and Marvel gave us a thorough explanation of the features in the room which was a junior suite on the first floor. As it was our ruby wedding anniversary there was a bottle of sparkling wine and fruit provided along with a bag, sarong and 2 hotel towels for us to keep. The hotel also offered us a very generous discount package on a range of extras including a picnic lunch on Anse Georgette. Our first lunch at Takamaka was a lovely salad followed by buffet at Legend restaurant. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and shown the different food stations. They take your room number and name and so all the waiting staff call you by your name which is a wonderful touch. If they are able to the staff also will offer to carry your plate to the table for you which took a bit of getting used to but was lovely. All of the food at Legends is of the highest quality both for evening meals and breakfasts with such a great choice - they even have newspapers(small issues) in 5 languages available at breakfast. We wanted to visit La Digue the next day and hotel booked us places on the 10 am ferry and arranged a taxi - all done very efficiently.We booked a table at Diva as some friends were going to be staying at hotel and had a very nice meal there with very attentive staff. We also wanted to visit the Vallee de mai but wanted to do this by ourselves and got advice and bus timetable from hotel. The bus stop is just by the entrance gate but as I had a sore ankle Ryan organised a club car to take us to the main gate and whilst we were at the bus stop Christa who is head housekeeper spoke to us and very kindly explained the cost and reassured us and I thought this was a lovely thing to do on her day off. Christa then came to our room on last day to say goodbye and once again we had a lovely chat with her. Alona was also very helpful and called the room to see if we were ok and if there was anything she could help with, which was typical of all the staff we interacted with, every single member of staff said hello and couldn't do enough for you. The hotel and resort facilities are wonderful but it is the staff that make it special so I would recommend this resort without hesitation.

Room Tip: Ask for a low number room if you want to be near to beach bar but call for club car if you need/want...

An amazing hotel with incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The junior suites are spacious and hearing the lap of the Indian Ocean from your bed was relaxing and soothing.
The beach and pool area are very well maintained and no problems with space.
Gym, tennis, water sports, golf all come as part of the package and are a real asset if you like to be active as well as sun worshipping!
The hotel is five star and does come with five star expectations in relation to drinks and food prices, so be prepared to fork out.
The breakfast buffet is vast, plentiful and very tasty.
We celebrated special birthday's here and are entirely satisfied with our choice of hotel and destination.

Very beautiful hotel. The hotel is very neatly kept. The best kids club. My son never wanted to come out the kids club. The food was amazing with good variety. The rooms are very spacious. Very thing of this hotel is beautiful .

We have just checked out of this hotel. Beautiful grounds with so much potential, unfortunately no one seems to care. Me and my husband are experienced travellers. This time we took a month off to explore Africa and decided to treat my mom and sister to join us in Seychelles for a family reunion as we live all around the world. I really wanted the stay at Lemuria to be the most luxurious experience they have ever had.
So before coming to the resort I communicated with the hotel by email and told them we would be needing double bed in one of the suits. The answer was they did not have separate beds, but could make a German bed with separate mats and blankets. Ok, no problem I thought. Upon arrival we found out this was not arranged. We told them again that we needed separate blankets for my mom and sister, they said do not worry, before bedtime the maid will come and do it. Guess what? The maid did come at night, but the bed stayed the same. Are you kidding me? At a resort like this? At that point I was just plain mad, I called housekeeping just to hear that they never received the request. And this was just the start...
Our suite was plain dirty, the coasters for the water glasses looked like they were there for months, the fridge pretty much the same. Again? For a luxury resort like this?
Ok, the next thing we did on the first day after our arrival is to make reservations at the spa and Nest Restaurant. For the restaurant the answer was that everything is booked, not for just tonight, but for the whole lenght of our stay. No commments.
The next morning I requested to speak to the manager, he did listen to our complaints and said that he will take care of everything. We did get a table outside of Nest Restaurant, which they called VIP spot, on the rocks. Not sure why it is VIP, it is so windy there, you can hardly eat. The food was average, we asked for the sauce on the side and sure enough when the food came the sauce was all over it.
And to top it up on the second day me and my husband come back to the room just to find out that now WE have separate blankets. Is it even possible to have such poor level of service and attention to details at a high class resort as they called themselves? Even my mom who is not used to 5 star hotels noticed the bad service. It is just that no one cares. They smile to you, but nothing gets done.
Among general issues, not enough sunbeds on the main beach, indifferent waiters at the beach restaurant, all to sum up to a very average experience.
On a check out day sure enough the manager we spoke to and that was going to recompensate for all the troubles we had was not there. They found another manager to speak with us who at some point just hinted that these were all insignificant issues and they were not going to do anything for us as they were able to give us a table at a VIP spot and did not charge the surcharge for it. As she said I quote :" they were kind enough to do it for us." Really? This is the way you treat your customers? 30 minutes before our departure they gave us 2 souvenir books and 4 cocktails free of charge. Just because I got really upset. Our food and Spa bill was almost a 1000$. Did not even care to take 100$ from our bill for all the bad service we have received during our stay. And I did not want to waste any more time with them, as it was never about the money, but you do feel ripped off paying to be treated like a king and ending up being treated nothing like it.
If you are on your honeymoon and do not care about the service it is a beautiful place, but if you do care how you spend your money, it is absolutely not worth it.
