It is our last day here and we have loved it ! Was a little nervous about the bad reviews and I cannot understand the bad reviews . We have visited a few Sensatouri hotels and this by far has the best rooms . We stayed in a 2 floor room and it is ideal for families ! The food is lovely in every restaurant , always well presented and plentiful . The staff work so so hard and make sure you have everything you need . The only recommendation I would perhaps give this hotel is that a shuttle bus maybe in to lindos would attract more people as it is a 64 euro round trip in a taxi . Thank you to all at the hotel for such a fab holiday

From the minute we arrived here it has been incredible. I came here to get married so there was 19 of us all together. My wedding day was completely magical from start to finish. I can’t thank the staff enough for making it everything I could’ve ever wished for. A day I will never forget. I can say we will all be leaving with memories to last a life time.

I have just come back from 2 weeks at the Tui Sensatori Atlantica Dreams Resort and it was a wonderful holiday.

The location is fairly remote but it's approximately a 20 minute walk or 5 minute taxi to the small town of Gennadi which has a couple of shops and a few taverns.  We also went to Lindos; this was a scenic 40 minute journey via local bus (bus stop immediately outside hotel) at €2.90 per person each way.

We received a warm welcome from friendly staff.  First appearance of the hotel is gorgeous with modern contemporary decor. We received welcome drinks of orange squash (this is where I started to see a gap in what I usually see from 5*, I would have expected fresh juice or a cocktail).  We and our bags were then taken directly to our room via golf cart.

The rooms are beautiful again with a lovely contemporary design.  We were fortunate to stay in a beach front family suite with sea view which had lots of space for us as a family of 3, including a separate bedroom with super-king bed, a corner sofa / 2nd bed in the living space, a large bathroom with separate bath and shower, plus a double fronted balcony big enough to host a party.  The room comes with all the usual facilities these days of fridge, mini bar, coffee machine, TVs, hair dryer, iron and board, air con, etc. The wardrobes had a total of 20 hangers, not enough for the 3 of us but there was an abundance of drawers.  The room also had the extra special touches to take it toward a 5* like electric powered curtains, various light settings, in-wardrobe lighting, bath robes.  However it then lost the edge a bit by the balcony being dirty with the floor having not been cleaned in a while and the glass a bit grubby.  Through the holiday the room cleaning and refill of the minibar were a bit sporadic, sometimes done everyday but we also went for three days with no clean a couple of times (not great when you can't flush toilet paper, plus nowhere to hang bath towels to dry). This is claimed to be due to COVID and that they cannot come into your room as often, however some days they filled the minibar but didn't empty bins and change towels, then other days vice-versa.

At the pools we never had any issue finding available sunbeds and umbrellas, plus these were fantastic quality and the hotel supplies beach towels.  Towels can be changed every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; some people complained about this but our towels were only really getting wet rather than dirty so we had no issue with this and the towels dry quickly in the sun.  They take pool times and not reserving sunbeds very seriously; you may be asked to exit the pool if you go in before 10am and after 6pm and any towels left unattended even for 5 mins outside of those times are confiscated. We found not being able to use the pool until 10am very frustrating and odd, as the lifeguard was on duty from 7am confiscating any towels left to reserve the beds.  As the pool and snack bars use a high volume of single use cups, bottles and food trays there was often rubbish blowing around poolside and ending up in the pool; staff were constantly cleaning this away.  Staff were also constantly tending to the grounds generally, however another indicator that it is not quite 5* was the fact that there is glass everywhere (glass walls, glass bridges) which could be beautiful... if they cleaned it.  They did scrub the glass on the bridge on two days and it looked fabulous, but then they stopped and it looked dreadful again.  The other glass would just have a wipe at most so was always murky.

The pool bars and snack bars were OK.  Staff were very friendly and helpful.  Savory food selection is basic but all tasty and well cooked.  Unfortunately there were no sweet snacks other than children's ice cream scoops in tubs; the crepes stand was closed (they advised this was due to covid but I don't know why this would be).  Great drink selection and they will make anything you ask for but some of the ingredients could be better quality such as fruit juices and the garnishes were all wilting.

All drinks at all locations except the Piano Bar are served in paper cups or (single use) plastic bottles of water are available.  Water coolers were available to refill bottles for about 24 hours but they then disappeared again.  They were however happy to make drinks in our own plastic glasses which we took with us, including pint beer plastic glasses.  They are missing an opportunity of issuing reusable branded water bottles on arrival and us topping up our own water, rather than the scary amount of plastic bottles being binned every day, even half full bottles just because they're no longer cold.

The main buffet restaurant does a good job of offering something for everyone and there were always enough tables.  Again staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive.  Dress codes seemed fairly relaxed where smart-casual clothing was fine, including tailored shorts with flip flops being allowed for men.
Another slip from what I would expect from 5* was finding food debris from the previous nights' dinner on the floor at breakfast; poor attention to detail.

During the evenings there were two bars available: the Piano Bar is in the ideal location in the centre between the buffet restaurant and evening entertainment and served the full array of drinks (in glasses) but there were always long queues for the bar, tables are all taken by 8.30pm and table service is slow once the bar is busy (30-45 minute wait every time).  The Bhodi Beach Bar is also open into the evening but is a lot quieter, we found we could always get a table there at any time plus the staff and atmosphere were excellent, however you're back to paper cups here again with the occasional plastic cup for certain drinks.

I took part in a few of the activities including the pool aerobics/dance/HIIT and aqua board sessions.  All were great fun and the perfect balance between doing some exercise but having a laugh too.  I booked activities through the sensatori app but anyone could turn up for the pool sessions; the aqua board sessions would be fully booked really quickly on the app but then people didn't turn up so if you miss out on booking via the app it's still worth swinging by as there are often spaces.

I also went out for a few runs while there; there is a quiet coastal road immediately outside the hotel, turn right and you can do a few miles out and back along there with lovely views. The first mile and 2 miles out and last back are segments on Strava too.

My son attended kids club a few times.  Again these were all booked via the Sensatori app and book up quickly so it's worth setting an alarm to do this 6pm each day to avoid missing out.  The people running the clubs were all great, my son throughly enjoyed every session.  We were however a bit disappointed that there is very little in the way of kids evening entertainment.  There is a film on show 7.30pm and a bookable activity is run that same time for small groups, but there aren't the usual kids shows or discos or anything on these lines during the early evening.

Overall it's lovely and we had a great holiday.  The staff all work hard and are always friendly and helpful.  If it was on special offer I wouldn't hesitate to go back but at full 5* prices (and covid permitting) I'd rate the Sensatori in Fethiye, Turkey, over this one.

Room tip: Download and understand the Apps. Activities are booked via the Sensatori App (6pm the day before). You can check-in & book restaurants via the Atlantica App.

Dear Kat,

We would like to thank you for being here with us at our resort during the COVID-19 era. We really appreciate you taking the time to give us detailed feedback which helps us improve our services and facilities. We are so glad to read that you felt welcome and our friendly staff did everything to accommodate your wishes. It is good to know that you enjoyed your room with all its five star comforts and you had a great holiday overall.
However, we are sad to hear that we have not managed to meet your holiday expectations in full. Without a doubt, all new regulations for prevention of spread of infection have had a huge impact on our resort’s operation and our lives as well. Indeed, this year we have been restricted by COVID-19 local and European protocols which we are obliged to follow in accordance with the instructions from the Tourism Ministry which are in place this year all over Greece and are impacting our operation.
Working with these protocols is challenging and we are constantly striving to find the right balance between keeping all of our guests and staff healthy and meeting your holiday expectations. Your health is and will remain our first priority this season
Of course none of the above really matters without you. Rest assured that all of the points that you have made have been taken into consideration.
We would love it if you gave us the opportunity to welcome you back to our resort in the future.
Kind regards,
Michelle

Really disappointing stay in this hotel. Our pool room was in the shade for most of the day. Couldn’t book an a la carte meal for love nor money, and after queuing for ages managed to get the Italian which was dreadful, couldn’t get my children in kids club, and the food in the buffet was bland and showed very little in terms of exciting and tasteful. You know it’s bad when even the TUI Rep acknowledges that it isn’t very good ! Certainly not the 5 star break we were looking for.

Room tip: Go elsewhere !

Dear Gleggers,

We would like to thank your family for being with us this season in the continuing COVID era. Despite your negative opinion we want you to know that we appreciate your feedback which helps us improve and we want to thank you for the time you have taken in writing your review. Rest assured that your points have been taken into consideration and improvements will be made wherever possible.

We are a little sad that you could not find anything positive to mention at all although we are sure that all our team members have put in great effort to do everything possible for a memorable, luxurious stay. It is true that again this season our resort has been forced to follow everchanging legislation and instructions to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, policies, and protocols that often impact guest enjoyment. We are delighted though to have been able to offer you this safe European destination for your family break when so many other countries could not. Nevertheless, your health and safety is and always will be our priority, we want to make sure that every guest returns home safely.

We sincerely hope you will reconsider your comment and give us the opportunity to welcome you back sometime in the future because none of the above really matters without you and we are certain that the majority of our guests are enjoying their holidays with us this very moment.

Kind regards,
The Management.
