Had a wonderful week at this relaxed family run hotel which has a great little spa room (sauna, steam room and jacuzzi) and fabulous views. We were a little concerned about availability of vegan food but the team went above and beyond to look after us with a wide choice of delicious breakfast and evening meals.
Personnel very helpful and professional, good dinner with an eye for the presentation of the dishes ,excellent breakfast with a vast choice of sweet and savoury. The good sized room and bathroom very clean and proper. Excellent location at the foot of the Sciliar, a private park and swimming pool. It would do very well for a longer staying, the hotel direction organises many activities for the guests
The Parc Hotel Florian is a family hotel with the brand new part behind the original hotel, with informal atmosphere and we feel there like a part of this family - so we have been there for winter holidays several times. The rooms are comfortable with beautiful views on the Alps. Very good accommodation with super cuisine. The hotel is close to centre of Siusi, skibus stop is in front of the hotel so it is not problem to go to the cable car with skis. Ski resort is large with very good snow conditions, Sella Ronda is not far from Siusi - what more could you want for a winter holiday
The Florian is a chalet on a grand scale backing onto a large garden with (unheated) swimming pool and many restful nooks. The rooms are comfortable and modern, those at the front having magnificent views of the Alpe di Siusi, and those at the back looking out on the garden. There is a road in front of the hotel but the traffic is not frequent enough to be disturbing.
Breakfasts are ample and dinner a splendid parade of the best in Austro-Italian cuisine, with a good list of wines from nearby and other Italian regions. The waiting staff are efficient and pleasant, with excellent memories enabling them to anticipate your wishes after a day or two.
The hotel is a few minutes walk from the centre and much quieter than most hotels in the town. A shuttle bus (number 5) stops right outside the door and goes straight to the cable car station in less than 10 minutes. This is a family hotel so expect a number of children among the guests.
A thoroughly enjoyable place to stay, preferably for an unhurried long week-end or week in the Dolomites.
Thank you to the staff of the Parc Hotel Florian for making our Easter weekend away from home such a treat! The room was fantastic, the views are breath taking, the meals were some of our favorites, and the staff was very kind and accommodating.
