It was one of the best apartment I tried on Mauritius. Quite, clean , well arranged and equipped with all necessary appliances and furniture. I liked the view
I am really appreciating all efforts done by the management in availing this property in such shape. I recommend booking all the time.

Lovely apartment with the superb decor. We couldn't ask for a better location, right on the ground floor straight into the beach. Inside the apartment you can find everything you need and beyond ( think egg poaching utensils, measuring spoons and tea ceremony sets, tea brewing pot in the kitchen). Lovely decor through the whole apartment too, lots of lovely and cute nick nacks, good wi-fi speed too. Was pleased to find the basket with a baguette outside my front door this morning. Overall great place to be.

This was a perfect apartment for families. Large rooms, kitchen and all you need in a "normal" home. Free WIFI, actually working with many devices at once. Florenda, the manager, helped out with everything, making our stay perfect together with the rest of the staff. She really knows and loves her job! Housekeeping 6 days a week, new towels whenever needed, both beach- and showertowels. Fresh bread on the door every morning, making breakfast wonderful.

The beach is fantastic, only a few footsteps from the apartment. There are only 4 sunbeds at each apartment, 2 at the beach and 2 in front of the porch. If more people are staying, you have to bring your towel to the beach. 10 minutes by car to get to the supermarked. Few restaurants around, making average food to an average price. Do not try eating at The Preskil Hotel nearby, overpriced food in a chaothic area.So happy we did not stay there.

Special thanks to Florenda, keep up the good work, we hope to come back some day!

We were initially a little apprehensive as we had booked the Esplanade apartments in Tamarin on the West coast of the island but this was overbooked and we were relocated to Paradise beach on the East coast (both owned by Horizon Holidays).
Well we really felt like we got the better deal.

The apartment was amazing: modern, spacious, all amenities, in excellent order. We had a ground floor apartment which opened on to an outdoor sitting area with our own sofas and our own personal sun loungers. A short walk across the immaculate garden led us to another 2 personal sun loungers positioned immediately in front of the beach.

The beach was stunning. Just the occasional persons walking up and down the beach. A few boats moored off shore and almost no powerboats. It was so peaceful. The sand was white and soft and the azur water was mesmerising. You could borrow a kayak and paddle a 100 metres off shore and then drop in to the water to reveal beautiful corals.

We were looking for a relaxing holiday with the children so it was perfect. However, the location of apartments is a relatively quiet corner of the island so if you are looking for lots of beach side activities, restaurants, night clubs and shopping then you will be disappointed. We hired a car which was really useful for getting around the island. I think it would be essential for where these apartments are located as it is quiet. Driving was very easy especially if you are British as they drive on the left.

We tried a couple of the local restaurants serving Mauritian food which were OK but nothing fantastic. We really enjoy eating street food and in the local town of Mahebourg (about 6km away) you can get fantastic curries, birianis, fried noodles and dohl puris very cheaply: noodles £1, dohl puri 40p, chicken biriani to serve 2 well £2.50.

We frequently ate at the apartment as we really enjoyed getting the local fisherman to bring us lobsters or fish which we barbecued on the Weber BBQ grill at the apartment (we didn't even have to clean it afterwards!). You can have a chef come to your apartment and cook you a three course meal for 4 people for 4000 rupees (about £95). We didn't try this out.

There is a local supermarket about 3-4 minutes away by car but it is very expensive and the range of produce is poor. It's just for essentials. There is a fantastic supermarket (Jumbo) in Vacoas-Phoenix about 30mins away via the motorway. It's like going in to a huge French supermarket. Everything you want is there.

We loved that every morning there would be a wicker basket with a baguette hanging on our front door. We thought this was a really nice touch.
The maid came in every morning leaving the place immaculate and all the beds made and bathrooms clean. She was very friendly and discreet.
The other staff (gardeners, security) were also very friendly. The gardener brought the kids some fresh coconuts that he had cut down from the palm trees in the garden then cut them open so they could drink the milk and eat the flesh.

We travelled around the island visiting the other beaches and I can honestly say I thought we were on the best beach. Yes BelleMare beach looks good but it is very shallow and you have to go out very far to get any depth plus there are loads of people around and lots of powerboats whizzing around making a lot of noise. Same goes for the beaches at Trou d' Eau Douce and Flic en Flac.

Florenda is the manager of the complex and she is also very friendly and helpful. Really nice welcome to the apartment offering us cold towels to cool off plus refreshments.

Room Tip: We liked ground floor apartment due to immediate access to the garden and beach. The upper apartments were accessed via stairs at the rear.
