The country lodge is a nice place to stay over night. It is a small accomodation not directly to the sea. The rooms are provided with all you need. De restaurant is surprising good and has a jovial atmosphere

We spent 2 nights in Armagh as part of our honeymoon.
We loved it. Stayed in Keurboom Room - perfect for a honeymoon as it has a lovely King size bed and nice bath. Also kitted with a lovely stoep - perfect for a sundowner.

Armagh is situated close to the Big Tree and Canopy Tours
The food was just as awesome. We loved sitting close to the fire while eating a lekka burger and listening to the forest sounds.

I would recommend staying here, and i will return!

Dear Johan Since we built The Armagh in 1994 all we wanted were happy guests and this is a wonderful affirmation and a real boost when we receive reviews like yours.
We are blessed with super staff in great surroundings with proximity to all the best adventures - arguably in South Africa. Thank you most sincerely for your lovely words and we truly look forward to your return visit. For your future married life we wish you much joy. Best regards Marion.

The loft room is old and smells maybe due to the carpet. So do not stay there. The new rooms are ok. The loft room is over the kitchen. No great view and windows not large enough to open so can be claustrophobic.

Dear aparnam796....we really do appreciate your feedback after your recent stay at The Armagh and more specifically the Africa Loft. Most people choose it on price and we try to emphasize that it's a budget room with no frills. And the superb value for money aspect brings us return guests who insist on this secluded Loft even for their Honeymoon. Having said that it's actually a huge room with seating area, twin room area, and a double bed zone, and geographically actually not above the kitchen nor the Restaurant. It also has TV and Aircon and a large opening swing window with superb views to the mountains. By the same token we are incredibly sorry your stay was marred by this room. Did you perhaps mention to those on duty at the time as our Staff could have upgraded you to a downstairs room? ( subject to availability) we are taking on board your valuable comments and will definitely have a look at the carpet for sure! Perhaps you will come and visit us again, and with pleasure - and a little discount, you could even enjoy one of our Garden Cottages. Our very best regards and thanks indeed for your comments. Marion

Do not stay in the loft room. Smelly maybe of old carpet etc. we booked for 2 nights and moved rooms as couldn't stay in the loft. Other rooms are renovated and new. Had to leave the next day as no other rooms were free.

Dear Aparna M. I'm delighted you stayed at The Armagh on your recent trip to our piece of paradise. I'm really sorry about your experience in our Africa Loft. It's normally chosen because of its Budget Rate. It has a very high occupancy and people adore its lovely elevated position, and the recent addition of TV! Most people are offered an upgrade if they wish but again most chose to stay right there. We shall definitely investigate the carpeting and thank you again for your input! Did you mention your concerns to Hano our Manager at the time? This helps us to address issues more timeously. Our very best regards Marion

We found this place for the last location I need our 2 weeks trip in Africa.

The place is simple but you have all the stuff that needed for great relex and great location.

They have great local restaurant with variaty option that everyone can find his culinary view.

The stuff is very welcome but it's look as Standart here in South Africa....
