This hotel provides free shuttles to and fro from Hotel and Kawaguchiko Station. If you decides to walk, it is only about 15 minutes. This Hotel has a public Onsen, Massage Chairs, KTV rooms, huge lounge area etc for guests to relax in. There are many eateries and supermarket within walking distances too. I will definitely come back here again.

Room Tip: Higher floor for better view of the lake

It's a very old hotel and on entering you have to take off your shoes and wear their slippers which are not good! The rooms themselves are very basic with the continuance of single beds! I wonder how Japanese sleep if they only have single beds! The view was good; the breakfast not so much! The floor was very sticky and it took them forever to replenish items that had run out in the meals room. They have a traditional onsen which is really strange for westerners to use. Wouldn't go back.

This is an establishment which is one step up from a youth hostel.
On arrival we were given grubby used slippers to wear.
The arrivals area was very seedy & reception staff unhelpful.
The room was very dated with the curtails being held up by brown parcel tape.
There was no water for a time in the morning & when it came back on it was brown. Staff not interested in sorting this problem.
In the dining area our shoes stuck to the floor by the buffet as the floor was so dirty.
Our rooms were not serviced nor beds made.
Food was acceptable.
When we went to pay the bill we were asked for cash as there was no credit card machine which was a lie.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else. I have photos but the site does not allow upload.

Clean and comfortable. Staff have limited English but try their best. Excellent location right next to the cable car and with views of the lake. Lovely food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Men's and women's onsen on the second floor. TV channels are Japanese only. A good hotel in a local Japanese style and clean too.

Two stars might be too much... Don't even know where to start with this hotel... Let's start with the good things... The staff was very nice, the location is really good and the communal baths were decent... But this hotel is literally falling apart... Towels on the corridors to soak the dripping water from the radiators, panels hiding walls falling apart, humidity in the bedrooms, bad smell because of the humidity and bugs (dead and alive) in the bedroom... The restaurant as sticky floors and needs cleaning and the food is not good... Feel really sad to be giving this review, because the staff was really really nice... But this place needs works urgently...
