We’ve been staying in Nydri for over fourteen years, it’s a lovely place and Cafe Stoa along with Giorgis the owner is a favourite. He will do anything he can to accommodate, always ensures guests have a nice snack with the drink, and runs a very friendly bar.

Due to Stoa's close location to Nidri's main bus stop, we found ourselves here often during the early evening. We weren't sure if the late season was the reason for the fact that it was so quiet there but the lavish lounge look and incredibly generous service hooked us from the first visit. Every drink was a tall one (wine glasses over 70% filled) and each one came with a bowl of chips and some fresh fruit topped with local honey and cinnamon. Truly a testament to Greek hospitality.

They have a couple of small tables on the Main Street and in the warming October sunshine my wife and I decided to sit and have some wine. Well, three half litre carafes later we get up again. With each carafe we were given small plates of food, tapas style, all free. €15:00 being the bill for the Ros'e wine. Lovely wine, lovely service and lovely pieces of food.

What to say more? Very nice people and friendly too but the mojito wasn't the top. Crepe wasn't good as well. There is a lot of unexpressed potential...
