Everyone is so friendly and passionate about the food.

I am a Chef and I love coming here and putting my trust in Vangel to serve us a fantastic meal.

Would you like Fish, Meat or Veggie.

Simple as that; but what follows is far from simple but ignites you taste buds!

You just try this.

It's very hard to know where to start with this one, as it was such a fantastic experience from start to finish. From the 'appetisers', which were huge and just kept coming, we knew we were on to a good thing.

On the night we went, we had fresh mussels and clams in a garlic sauce, whole fresh fish and mountains of salad - and that was before we'd got to the mains! That consisted of seafood linguini, steak and lamb off the bone, all of which were beautifully cooked with incredible flavours. Dessert was very fresh peach sorbet. We were all rolling out of there as the portions were huge, but the food was such good quality that we couldn't leave any...

We were a large party of 17, but the staff could not have been more accommodating, smiley and helpful. It was very refreshing to leave our choice of food in their hands, and there was something for everyone.

If you're in Nidri don't miss out. There's nothing else like it!

We called into this restaurant while passing to book for the evening. They don't show a menu and instead asked what we did and didn't like to eat and then said 'look forward to seeing you later'. There was no time and we joined them after pre dinner drinks elsewhere. Their welcome was delightful and we were treated to the most wonderful freshly produced food and respectful service. On leaving we were thanked for our trusting nature and the husband and wife and owners who are also the chef and waitress were happy because we were. The world would be a better place with more of these restaurants.

We had seen this taverna last year on our visit and decided to try it this year. The front gives the impression that there are only 2 tables available. Do not be misled - walk through from the high street, past the chef, and into the taverna proper.
Don't expect to see a menu. Just tell your waiter/waitress what you like; fish, meat, seafood - then sit back and wait. The food is gorgeous and, staff know what a vegan is - very appropriate for us.

One criticism we have is you don't have the choice of a starter, main and dessert. The food keeps coming until you say "no more". This where the whole experience can become expensive, around 25 euros a dish.
On the whole we enjoyed eating here but, we wouldn't make it an every night visit.

We really fancied trying here after reading about the no menu concept so booked a table. It's set on the main road back from the port but once in the restaurant is decorated so beautifully it feels like an oasis. We were greeted warmly and shown to a lovely comfortable table. We were asked if we liked seafood and if we preferred it whole or filleted and that is when the fun started. A plate of fresh tuna arrived with a tomato salad and it smelt amazing and tasted incredible. We had tons of tuna and we thought that was our main but as we finish mussels arrived followed by prawns. All the dishes tasted amazing with a great mix of spices. The service was good all night and it had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. There was also a girl who played the keyboard brilliantly which was really lovely. It was more expensive than the other tavernas but a fantastic experience and I am so glad we went. I would highly recommend trying no menu. Amazing.
