Just spent an amazing 10 days at Bayshore Huts. Staff are super friendly, with Moloh at the front office very helpful, professional and great to deal with. Perfect location on NL as close enough to walk to restuarants and other areas but far enough away for peace and quiet. Very peaceful overlooking the beach and view over Bali.

We ‘ve booked 2 nights in this hotel at around 130euros, hoping for nice relaxing end of our trip in Bali.

We booked ocean view and get a hut in the second level with not really ocean view but didn’t want to complain so let this go... (make sure if you book ocean view you request first beach front huts)

The welcoming was nice, room is cute, pool And ocean view are also cool. Again disappointed we didn’t get the first level with direct ocean view but got charmed by the whole setting.

After an hour enjoying a late lunch at the main ocean view pool we were invited to a full moon Hinduist ceremony and really appreciated it.

The hotel is walking distance from mushroom bay where you have nice restaurants and good activities and still in a quiet area. Also there is a big construction site on the left side that can be a bit noisy.

That’s all about the nice aspect of the place.

We ve decided to spend a bit more money to get a proper hotel service. In the island there is lot of other options much cheaper. After experiencing this hotel I would definitely prefer a cheaper place directly located around mushroom bay, as the service we were expecting was the worst we had during our trip in Bali.

Note we had our first lunch in the hotel, booked bike, snorkeling trip, boat tickets and had several drinks at the pool.. so i’d say not the worst guests.

During our first lunch we were welcome by a young man genuinely happy and friendly. After that a women was working and when we asked for another drink she seemed annoyed and gave us really bad attitude.
The day after we came for breakfast at 9.50am same lady called Shanti didn’t even dare to say a good morning or hello... but made sure to let us know in a really cold manner « the breakfast finish in 10 minutes ». She gave us the menu and asked directly « you know what you want ?» and as we didn’t even check the menu, kindly asked her to give us some time to check. Not even 1 minute after (9.52 am;) she came back and force us to choose now !!

I ve asked her for an ice coffee latte, and she answered aggressively not included... and told her I was happy to pay for it. My partner asked for a simple coffee.
Breakfast was served and after 10 minutes same lady came and start to remove my plate (fair enough it was empty) and the one of my partner even if he didn’t finish and was still eating. While finishing my coffee she was setting for lunch angry so we decided to leave. Another lady, smiley trainee gave us a bill with my ice coffee latte + charge for my partner ‘s coffee... instead of the free coffee thé gave him an americano from the machine (we never asked for it). Again didn’t want to make problem so signed the bill with a smile.

When we got back to our room, we were surprised to see the hut full door open ?! Cleaning team came while we had breakfast and decided to keep our doors fully opened ?! Not a big deal as nothing was stolen but could have been a big problem.

We then brought our laundry to the réception asking for laundry service and been told they couldn’t do it as it will take 48 hours to be delivered clean ?!?
We had to walk to the village to give our laundry to a shop that could do it for the day after... for 48 000 rupees. We could have paid double if it was taking care by the hotel and just got the feeling the receptionist didn’t want to help us with this matter and prefered to send us away.

Back from the laundry trip we decided to go to relax at the pool. Ordered a mango juice, Fanta and coffee latte (I like lattés;). We had each time to order at the bar as no staff was around.
When we ve asked for our bill, we had the pleasure to receive a bill with the 2 coffees we’ve already paid for in the morning...

We had the feeling we were not welcome either at the restaurant or at the reception even if we wanted to spend money. Instead we felt staff thought we were going to not pay for things and the situation was really weird as we were just trying to enjoy our holidays.

We had a lovely time in Bali and will recommend all the places we ve visited but this place is not advised... I am sure you could find a great Balinese atmosphere at a cheaper price in Lembongan.

Enjoy the island it is gorgeous.

Overall, our stay here was great.

Breakfast and lunches were delicious and service was great.

For the location, Proximity to Mushroom Bay and restaurants was a short walk. Good location for scooter rental to explore the island.

The property is not on a nice beach, but was still a decent view and nice setting with the waves and view of mainland Bali.

The pool areas (2 pools) were very nice and provided plenty of room for suntanning and relaxing.

Our hut was nice and clean. The bathroom was outside as all are, and still very nice. All huts have a deck with seating area which was nice. We had a garden view room.

Two negatives about our hut:

- The WiFi was weak as we were in the middle of the property, which seemed far from both routers at each end. Not a huge deal as we didn’t use it much, but, still noteworthy.

- We had a gecko in our room for all 3 days of our stay which was leaving droppings around and ended up on our bed a couple of times. Also, we had a decent amount of ants and a few other small bugs due to having some cracks between doors and the straw roof. We never had any food in the room.
- We never notified the staff about the gecko or bugs as we assumed many of the huts may have this issue and it didn’t bother us to much. I assume the staff would have helped to remove the gecko if we asked.

All the staff was helpful and provided great service.

We stayed here recently and had a lovely relaxing time. We ended up with a hut with a view of the ocean which was gorgeous to wake up to and the staff were helpful in organising a snorkelling trip and our boat off the island.

The drinks at the restaurant are good but the food is a little average, so would recommend venturing out and about in the local area for dinner.

Otherwise a nice hotel, fairly priced and clean.

Stayed for 7 nights in room 2, sea facing front row, which consisted of 4 huts. 1 & 2 got the best views with 3 then 4 over looking restaurant so not sure how good the views to sea were. Nice hut with great balcony, Plenty of loungers at the sea view pool as well as the 2nd pool further back in the property grounds. Air con effective and plenty of lights and plug sockets in room 2. Only issue we had was the lack of hot water on several days, so check that it’s working. We complained but very little done to resolve. A few days it worked in the afternoon but come evening or morning you had to run the water for 15 minutes before Luke warm water came through. Such a waste of water but we would have expected hot water at this price level. Staff great both at reception and restaurant, who were happy to do early breakfast at 7.15 before diving as long as ordered the night before. Food in restaurant we thought was actually good and reasonably priced. Nice evening dinner location although lacked atmosphere. (Try the sister restaurant, The Palm Grove for a change, on main drag) Bayshore organised Nusa Penida day trip and manta snorkelling which worked out really well. Penida is crazy and couldn’t believe how busy it was, nice sights but shocking roads and traffic. Manta’s, again can be hectic as so many snorkelers but nice to see them from above, although many idiots try to touch them. Keep your distance and don’t touch.

Room tip: Front row nice as were some of the sea view ones. It’s a quiet place so noise won’t be an issue.
