My second visit to PiranhaDivers. This time with my wife and daughter. Wife gets her Open Water certification , daughter and myself gets the Deep Diver specialty. Jan gives my wife confidence and good technique to obtain her open water. Thanks Jan, Píer and all staff at PiranhaDivers for their excellent and professional service

My friends and I were really happy about our diving trip with Jan. We were all quite new to diving and he made us feel safe throughout the process. He was very patient and was very good at explaining things. It was also a lot of fun! We saw lots of beautiful marine life and corals. Definitely recommend :)

Prompt replies to my emails. Spoke English fluently which was a big help in organising. I have an open dive licence and my boyfriend does not they tailored the dive to suit both of us- creating an intro dive for him, that also suited me. So we were able to dive together. Having English speakers was also easier in safely explaining the equipment and procedures- especially for my boyfriend- who hasn’t got much diving experience. The dives were nice and our dive guide pointed out some animals- ie cuttlefish, octopus etc that he saw. They picked us up from our bus stop nearby and also dropped us off after the dive. We had time to stop on the way back after and Pierre was nice enough to stop at local shops/restaurants so we could purchase a hot lunch after. Tea and bickies provided between dives which was nice as the weather was on the cooler side that day. Overall good dives, relaxed atmosphere and very helpful and prompt with communication.

Jan the dive instructor was very helpful and recommended a friendly local bnb (pension weekend). He also helped me plan parts of my stay in Okinawa. My whole experience was really enjoyable. Gutted that I couldn’t dive the US Emmons due to bad weather but these guys were super safe and very aware of their surroundings which made me feel confident I was I good hands. Some of the other dive companies that shared a boat with us on our dives found it acceptable to have leaking and clearly ancient unserviced equipment. No regrets choosing Pirhana divers over the others!! The sites we went to were good too. Highlights include healthy coral in particular, a nice cave dive, giant turtle, a successful coral garden (regeneration program).
If I get the chance to come back to see the USS Emmons at some point I’ll definitely ask Jan from pirhana divers!

I visited Okinawa and took classes from Piranha Divers Okinawa on Feb 13-14, 2019. Prior to my trip, Jan kindly replied all of my inquiries and arranged where I could stay, Pension Weekend. During the course, Pierre and Jan were with me while I had total 5 dives. They worked with the professionalism and were strict and conservative in terms of following the safety rules. This helped me to remind myself the importance of the primary purpose of scuba diving, coming back safely. I really appreciated their help and full attention so I can be successful of Advanced Open Water Course. Thanks to their help, I would want to purse the next level, Rescue diver and I hope I could arrange the next course with Piranha again. Vielen Dank Jan und Pierre!
During my stay at the Pension Weekend, the house owner kindly picked me up and dropped me at the bus station. So I do not need to carry my bag all the way to the accommodation. The room that I got assigned was very quiet, cozy, and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. Sometimes with western style and other times with Japanese style. All of them were very nutritious and gave me a full energy of the day. I would recommend to stay here while diving as the accommodation and the dive shop is close to each other.
To sum up, diving experience with the Piranha and my stay at the Pension Weekend made my first trip to Okinawa the best.
