We are a family of five and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hakuba.

The hotel is spacious, clean, has great food and the hosts were fantastic in sharing their local knowledge of best places to eat and to ski which helped us immensely on our first visit to Japan. They were also very generous with their time driving us to restaurants and bus connections.

The hotel itself is very picturesque and is perfectly located within walking distance to the Happo-One ski chairlifts. It also has easy access by shuttle bus to the other ski fields in the area.

My brother and I stayed here during the Snow Machine festival. We were at the hotel for 10 nights. The family that owns the hotel and runs it are very helpful and nice.
Rooms are very comfortable, handy with the ski dry room, sauna and laundry. Very useful as you can be self sufdicient. There is also a microwave to use in the kitchen, which is very handy. Breakfast is great, with a good coffee machine. Would highly reccomend this hotel, conveniently located right next to Happo One Gondolas and Ski jumps, easy access to in my opinion the best ski resort in Hakuba.

This place is a great family owned and very well operated hotel. Walking distance to town and easy access to the ski lifts. Staff was very helpful with anything and everything. Monica and Keita were the best possible host!!. Sam was also as helpful as they get. I’ll definitely come back to the hotel in the future

With Kaita-san at the helm of this establishment, you can expect the best hotel service in this city. From free shuttle services to finger-licking good meals to spacious rooms and a cozy onsen, Hotel Yamano is THE go-to accomodation.

My friends and I stayed at Keita-sans hotel for 3 nights in Feb 2020. The hotel room was extremely cosy and was spacious for 4 people. We thoroughly enjoyed the Onsen facilities and breakfast spread laid out every morning. Keita-san and his family were very helpful and warm, offering to take us to places outside of the hotel without any charge. If anyone is thinking of booking this gem for your next ski holiday don’t hesitate and do it now!!!!!!
