For a ryokan, this hotel is very affordable compared to others that I have tried. Room sizes are average. Room amenities is complete. They have an onsen with a great view (landscaped garden). It kinda gives you a feeling as if you're in an outdoor onsen.

I brought my friends here because they wanted to try a hotel that has a Japanese feel. I love everything that this hotel offers, including its location being walking distance to everything except for the slopes. I just don't like that their kaiseki dinner is also at their normal dining area with normal tables/set-up. I usually always look forward to wearing our kimonos for dinner.

Staying here for a week with my adult son to celebrate my 70th birthday, I could not be happier with the hotel
After 15 years of Niseko becoming glitzier each year, it is nice to get back to basics
The owner/manager is great. Always there, always helping
It's not luxury but it's comfortable and authentic

Like Hakuba, the hotel didn t receive an update after the Olympics, but was still nice to stay in.
The Japanese room was big enough to cater 4 people, the onsen was basic but enough, food was good and the staff/owners very friendly. Note that it is not a very lively place and not well located for skiing, you need to walk a bit for a shuttle bus which only rides every 30'.

we arrived and was dropped off at the hakuba tourist info center where the hotel owner came by to pick us up (it was just a 3mins ride but we had alot of suitcases and snow was all over)

hotel seems to be run by a family but they are clearly very very busy buzzling around from being reception to cleaning up to fixing dinners/breakfasts......they are extremely hospitable and have decent working english to communicate/recommend places to go

this hotel is walkable to happo one base, but we chose the hakbua 47 (which also has a shuttle stopping by this hotel till 5pm).

we had a meal there: it was japanese/italian (or so they called it). 3500 yen/head. was decent and a reasonable portion,

breakfast there is quite good too- a nice variety of selection

the japanese room we stayed in was very nice . spacious and decent. their indoor onsen was empty almost every night (but my only suggestion is if they could have a bit more amenities in the changing area) at least some cotton swabs, or simple body cream compared to many others places (they only hv 1 hair dryer and a box of kleenex)

as for rentals, the owner gave us discount cards and also helped us get ski tickets (the rental place recommended was able to deliver equipment to the hotel for your use) and it is also a 10min walking distance from the hotel.

overall its a nice place, and would consider coming back here again to hit the other slopes

We had an awesome time at this hotel on Hakuba. The location is really central to get to the mountains (Hakuba 47 bus is right outside and happo is a 5 minute walk). Hakuba is full of great food and Restauraunts that are all close by to the hotel. The owner works so hard and we really appreciated all he did!
We stayed in a traditional room which was huge.
