Really beautiful tasting room with friendly and not pushy staff. A tasting rewards you with 3 healthy pours and relaxed Terrace. The short drive from the main road is scenic through the winery. The wine prices are also budget-friendly in case browsing turns buying. Overall very enjoyable experience.

On our drive from Volterra, we spotted the sign for the wine tasting at Fattoria il Palagio. Visiting in November, many of the tasting rooms were closed, so we quickly took the turn off wen we saw the sign. After a twist and turn or two, we arrived at the winery and tasting room. Small but nice tasting room. Some locals had gathered for a tasting and we enjoyed our samplings of wines, leaving with a bottle of their Chardonnay. Glad we stopped by!

What a delightful little winery this is. Set in the most breathtaking scenery imaginable the family make fantastic honest local wines that they are rightly proud of. Our tour guide Elizabeth was charming and freindly and made us feel like VIP's. You can see the grapes growing, watch them being harvested, see them pressed and fermented and then bottled all on site. We fully intend to buy the majority of our wines from here now and ship them back to the UK. Thoroughly recommended!

My group of 5 randomly saw a sign at the main road for a vineyard and decided to pop in on a drive back from Volterra. We were greeted warmly although we did not have any reservation at all. We were presented with a lovely wine tasting and were impressed by their wine selection. In fact we ordered 2 cases of wine that day! Thanks for wonderful memories!
