Chose this hotel for its location and competitive price. Although working away alone I enjoy an double bed in my room. Warm welcome by staff and my room was lovely. Very comfy bed, ensuite with walk in shower, very airy room and one thing which shone out was the bedding was fresh and smelt like flowers . Spacious room with lovely open views as the room was quite elevated. Hotel was very clean and fresh in general. Loads of free toiletries in the room along with a nice selection of tea and coffee. I hsd a great night sleep and even better my breakfast in the morning was fabulous

My wife & I stayed here one night whilst attending a local function. The room had good facilities & was very clean. Breakfast was of a good standard & served with a smile. All in all a good value for money independent hotel offering a much higher standard then local national chains.

My mum's funeral was today, after the service my family and I went to the Barton Villa for an Afternoon Tea in their lovely Tea Room.
Wow.
The tables had been put together for our small party of eight people, it Was FANTASTIC, decorated with Ornate Bone China crockery and the room itself very tastefully decorated.
The menu was set out in Tiers, the very pleasant waitress took our orders very systematically and we chatted whilst we waited for our delights to arrive.
Wow again, the choice of foods and the presentation was Beautiful. All set out on China cake stands. Tea and Coffee in abundance.
What a wonderful way to remember my Mum who loved Tea, sandwiches and cakes served in an old fashioned way.
My Thanks to you at Barton Villa for a lovely afternoon.
Keep up the hard work.
Highly recommended xxxx
Regards Sue

My husband and I spent one night here whilst sorting out some family business in the area. We had a room in the annexe which was roomy and had an amazing power shower. The staff were all lovely and friendly and the inclusive breakfast was very tasty with your choice of egg cooked to order. The only thing that I wasn't keen on was the large plant pot outside the front door which was brimming with cigarette ends from all the smokers. This was a little off-putting.
