On arrival were greeted efficiently and with a smile. Our daughters had booked this as a surprise for us both and they knew who we were straight away. Our room was stylish and full of character and had every amenity we required. The staff were helpful and answered any questions confidently. We had evening meal and breakfast which was first class and the service was attentive and we did not have to wait very long for our food. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel are quieter but after 10:00 there was no noise at all

What a super lunch we had. All the dishes were excellently presented, very tasty and everyone liked their food!
Together with their excellent customer service and fair prices makes this restaurant / pub worth a visit. Well done to all the staff. Thank you!

Sadly, at this hotel we had one of the poorest experiences in years of traveling with our children. We enjoy staying at small inns when traveling through the UK. Came with my family (3 children under 12) for the bank holiday, booked the family room which is directly above the bar and heard every single conversation, swear word and drunken dialogue from below, as did my children of course. The room has a vent though the beam that leads to the bar. It wasn't just loud - you LITERALLY could hear everything going on downstairs until they finished cleaning up close to 1AM; then they begin getting ready for breakfast at 7AM. Quite inappropriate for a family room. No one slept. During breakfast the next morning they were hoovering around our tables as we ate. Quite inappropriate while guests are eating. As for meals, food is unimaginative but at least the wait staff was pleasant.

Room tip: Look for better options - this hotel is not for families or those who need quiet rooms.

Lovely hotel with lovely staff. Our room was really comfortable and great parking for our Harley, the staff let us park in the Pub garden which was secure. Ate in the restaurant and the food was really good. Twee village with another pub to eat and drink in. Great place for rides out to Rye, Hastings and Southend. Really enjoyed our stay 😊

Good room and bathroom. Housekeeping standards are excellent.
Pleasant old world bar with expensive drinks prices. Food in the bar and restaurant comes from the same kitchen and is excellent. Nice place to stay.
