Hubbie and I went here for dinner. The food was ok - definitely nothing amazing, but it wasn't terrible. Staff were quite friendly. The location was nice - interior of the pub a little bit random - could be a lot nicer I feel with some TLC. The garden was quite nice, although our meal was unfortunately spoiled a couple of times by diners that came outside to smoke directly behind where we were eating. The prices were average. All in all, our visit was fine but I probably wouldn't rush back anytime soon.

Great lunch, huge portions and service was excellent. We had a prawn sandwich, fish finger sandwich and a huge helping of cheesy chips. Served by Andy who was very friendly and efficient, will definitely come back.

Visited on a Saturday eve during Covid restrictions. All dealt with in a friendly and efficient manner. Found a table easily and were able to choose from a good drinks selection. I had the fish and chips - on the whole pretty good though the mushy peas were oddly liquid. My wife had the veggie burger but was given sweet potato fries rather than potato chips as advertised. They were soggy and unappetising. Nothing had been said but on questioning this we were told the kitchen had run out of chips. Had this been mentioned at time of or after ordering she would have chosen something different. In the pub’s defence that meal was knocked off the bill and the staff were very apologetic.

Really enjoyed our first pub supper this year as lockdown rules eased and we could eat inside. Pub has arranged the tables well for social distancing and one way system for toilet visits.
Nice springtime menu with generous portions and friendly staff, just wish we lived nearer to come more often!
Will return here when we can and also visit the 'sister' pub - Fox at Patching.
