We stayed for two nights in the Gainford Suite in early June 2022. The hotel is stunning and the gardens are amongst the best we’ve ever seen. Our suite was the best in the hotel and didn’t disappoint, large, spacious, clean and full of character and charm with a commanding view over the main garden.
The spa facilities seemed quite new, the pool was very clean and we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, sauna and steam room. Overall, the hotel and its facilities were excellent.
The food is decent, clearly there is a lot of thought and effort put into the menu, and whilst we can feel that the kitchen team is really trying, there is still much room for improvement in the final flavours.
The staff were excellent and very accommodating. They have genuine pride in their work.
Overall, this is one of the best “historical spa hotels” we have been too. Highly recommended
P.S. we stayed in Redworth hall for a few nights following our trip to headlam hall, and we would just like to add to avoid Redworth hall at all cost, for a similar price to headlam hall, it is 1000x worse in every way.More
