The rooms were spacious and even the bathroom was nice.
The swimming pool is very expensive and not included in the price. 13€ per person.
The restaurant is very nice.
The meals are good but the breakfast was basic as there were other people in the main restaurant were the breakfast is more complete.

Booked for a relaxing break to use outdoor pool and spa through Travel Zoo as well as plans to see Mount Etna.
Outdoor pool empty/ closed - will not be open we were told for another two months.
Indoor pool/spa - €10 Euro hour charge - not what it says on their own website. We weren't even allowed to look - guest privacy! Which was laughable given our room opened out onto the pool roof and I could see and hear Italian families and their kids - Presume they do not pay €10 Euros an hour each.
No where to sit out comfortably in the 'gardens', lots of painting and repair work going on made it noisy to stay on site and rest even in the room, both advertised restaurants full of private bookings and parties most nights.
Small restaraunt we were sat in nice and food excellent but expensive -€17 for two glasses of wine.
Via Grande 'few km from Catania - mm 12 so hour on bus from Catania or €40 taxi. Almost nothing there - difficult to find anywhere to eat almost everything closed or only serving limited menu whatever time we went out to eat.
Caters well for tour groups and local events - lucky for us group from Sage and rep complained about breakfast - hardly anything left one day before 9am, cold egg and bacon. Improved slightly but certainly not 4* service or offer. Unless you speak fluent Italian and plan to hire a car and use this as a base out of the city - book somewhere else. Most staff don't speak English and some were just plain rude.

First of all - this is a really nice hotel however it has loads of downsides to it. Room is very large, very nice - plain and simple but lovely ! The hotel is very clean and the rooms are brilliant. However, there is really nothing to do in this hotel - only one restaurant which is nice and food is incredible, pool is always overcrowded by locals, only one 'lounge' and spa is not free - you'd have to pay some 30/50 Euros for 2 hours. We went once to the lounge to have a drink after dinner and it was empty - no one serving people, no music and no people. Then the waiter who served us at the restaurant came and gave us a drink which he chose as opposed to the one which I ordered (very rude I must say). We also tried to stay for a relaxed day by the pool once but this was a fail - overcrowded by noisy locals and drinks are way too expensive. The staff attending the bar near the pool was absolutely disgusting, very not welcoming and not friendly at all. Also, if you don't know how to talk in Italian, forget it - you won't manage to communicate with no one at the hotel - not even the receptionist ! So basically, there is nothing to do at this hotel with the 2 other restaurants advertised on the hotel's website always busy with weddings and events, and closed to the hotel guests. Breakfast was super delicious but once a food item is finished, you'd have to wait ages for them to refill. Hotel grounds are nice so you can take a walk around and explore but not really much to do.

We were in this hotel between 14.08 to 20.08. We arrived at the hotel, early well before check in time and the receptionist made sure that we got the room as fast as possible. We really appreciated this. All in all waiting staff was very friendly. We felt that some of the receptionists could have been a bit more friendly. The breakfast was very good by Italian standards offering a selection of cereals, fruit, bread, hams, cheeses and sweets. The room was a triple room and it was very comfortable and clean. We also made use of the pool on almost all days. There were certain days when the staff made available a variety of fruit to the people in the pool. The only negative point about this hotel is the parking. There were days when we used to return back to the hotel in the evening and due to functions going on, we didn't find parking. All in all, the hotel rose up to the standards expected.

Lovely large rooms, nice and clean with very helpful staff throughout the hotel, restaurant and spa. Excellent restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner. Free Wifi, that to be honest wasn't the most reliable BUT I was there for a conference so I guess there was huge demand for it.
As mentioned, just the little things that stop it from being overall excellent, the folding shower door leaked all over the floor, only three hangars in the huge wardrobe, no courtesy tray to make a cup of coffee. Oh and the indoor pool is in the Spa so a payable extra and doesn't open till 10am, so no early morning swim before work.
