Stayed there with a family with a little one. Great location. Sea and pool nearby. All activities are outdoors so September isn't probably the greatest month to go, but nonetheless we enjoyed. Surrounded by great small towns, such as Carducci and Bulgari.
Only con is the size of the chalet. Expected a bit bigger living room as families with baby's need space after the baby goes to sleep.
Overall nice experience.

Thank you for your nice review!
Of course the hottest period in Italy is from July to August but the mild climate in September and also October is very comfortable and supported by the amazing colours of the incoming autumn. It is still possible to go to the beach and swimming in the pool and at sea.The only negative side is that the hours of light are slightly reduced...
Glad that you take some time to visit the beautiful nearby villages. We suggest also amazing Volterra and in less than 1 hour by car you will be in Pisa to admire the leaning tower.
We hope that you will be our guest again.
Warmest regards from Paradù

Way to expensive, by all means it's a camping where a glass off coca cola costs 5 euros, go figure.

The most visitors seems to be off high society profilers with their nose up into the sky.
On most camping I'm used to a friendly gesture like "Goof Morning" for example.

Apart from the absurd costs (staying there for 2 weeks costs 2800 euros) the scenenry of the park is really beautifull, it's located in apine forrest which is an national nature park across the beach which runs for 15 km I think.

We had two weeks of vacation there in a Capraia Lodge. The Lodge was quite new and modern. It was not so close to neighbours like we saw in other lodges, so we enjoyed our stay. But we saw lodges which looked older and were directly next to the train who made noise going down and up - I would not have wanted to stay there.
Our little kids went every day to the Kids Club and Disco Club. The animation team did a great job.
The beach was great and the idea of the big umbrellas for everybody was nice. The idea of leaving the cars outside was also good. Our kids loved the red "fun train".
Overall we had a good vacation there in the late season and would come back. But for the double price in high season - as I saw online - we would not go there and think it is worth the money.

What we did not like to much was the food situation. If you did not choose the buffet restaurant there was no real alternative. There could be so nice concepts for (good) food at the bar with BBQ etc. What I also think was strange, that the customers have to walk and all the people working there were driving golf cars. I would have liked to see a better transport concept for customers than the 20min train on a fixed route in a fixed direction. And I would also make a suggestion to the Manager. Spend 2 weeks of vacation with 4 people in a lodge and see what is missing (e.g. space for luggage, tools in kichen, dustpan which works, hangers for clothes, sun loungers at pool - making people to sit on floor)

TOP 3 positive things:
+ nice atmosphere of the resort with all its facilities
+ nice sand beach with big umbrellas and a lounge accessible for everybody
+ fun park for kids

TOP 3 potential improvements:
+ reduce the output of hot water in the lodges. Serious danger of burns especially for small kids!!!
+ more sun loungers at the pool
+ more shelfs and hangers in the cabinets

We did not do much except visiting restaurants for dinner... Best Seafood: Ristaurante Il Poeta Best Pizza: Pizzeria Xke' Qua Da Francesco

Every year 6 families book accomodation swhere in Italy. We all come from different countries and meet there. This year it was the Paradu Eco Resort. Such a perfect choice! Perfect location, excellent food.
Our family got chalet 2200-2201. Absolutely comfortable for a family with three children. We didn't even use the room with the bunk bed. We had two kitchenettes, two bathrooms and the whole terrace belonged to us. In the chalet with two bedrooms, the wardrobe was almost unusable as the bed took up almost all the place...

We paid for the half board, which worth every penny. The food was simply amazing. In Hungary it is very difficult to find good sea food for a normal price, so we were totally impressed with the sea food selection. I didn't even eat meat the whole week. Our children found easily food for their taste too. At first I was worried a bit about the size of the resort and thought the restaurant will be too crowded by meal time, but I was wrong. The waiters always brought new trays with food if the hungry guests emptied them. The gala dinner on the 15th August was the highlight of the week: lobster, swordfish, oyster and everything you can imagine. Simply amazing.

Our children loved the little shuttle train of the resort. It was usefull especially to and from the beach but to be honest I was happy that our chalet was not on the train's way, cause it was quite noisy and operated until midnight.

Our children prefered the pool, which was fine for us, but too small for such a big crowd. Unfortunately there were way too few sunbeds. There could have been placed a second row of them easily. You felt extremly lucky if you found one free - for a whole family - at 11am.

The private beach was nice and sandly. Super for kids. Pity that two from our company (a friend and me) was stinged by a jellyfish. After this scene none of our children wanted to go back to the sea anymore.

What surprised me negativly is that they didn't clean the apartments, didn't make the beds and didn't changed the towels at all. One of the family mentioned that you have to pay extra for it and it is asked by the chek-in. Hey, is this a resort or a b&b? If I pay resort price, I expect cleaning and towel changing.... or you should mention this by booking or checking in, or should be writen with big block capitals by the entrance area.

The pine forest where the resort takes place is simply beautiful. Aminators and the staff were friendly.

Almost forgot the bouncing castles... Younger kids adore them and they have more, so it was never too crowded. There are several playgrounds in the resort. One is close to the restaurant, which is useful when the children are fed up with the long dinner...

All in all, we loved it and try to go back next summer.

Room Tip: Chalet 2200-2201 is calm and can be found mid way to the beach. Not too far from restaurant and check-in.

We went expecting great things and came home slightly disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it is very nice, but it could be better. Four of us stayed for a week, my husband and I and our two boys 12 & 14. The chalets are tiny but clean - they kindly give you a free bottle of wine on arrival but corkscrews are not provided in the chalets nor can you buy one at their supermarket - we looked at our wine for a few days before we ventured out to another supermarket to buy one. The facilities are nice but rather overcrowded, you could barely move in the pool - you certainly couldn't swim but I accept this is a busy time of year. Not enough sun beds - space for more, we took Lilo's and lay on those - you cant take them in the pool. Pool bar has odd system for ordering - takes ages; order and pay at kiosk then visit various sections of the bar to collect your order - cocktails at one bit, ice creams at the other end etc - it was frustrating so we rarely ordered drinks. Beach is nice but I was surprised at the number of sellers hassling you to buy hats, bikinis, towels, blankets - all sorts. You have to pay extra for sun beds on beach €25 per day for 2. We couldn't afford to do this so again used our Lilo's but we were told we couldn't use these near the sun beds as this area of the beach was for sun bed hirers only. Given this is a private section of beach for Paradu it made us feel rather second class. Buffet restaurant is good, varied food, we all found something we liked and the wine which is included in half board was very reasonable. We were allowed to visit the pizzeria restaurant once during our stay (on our half board package) whilst the food was good the service was appalling. We arrived when it was quiet but it soon filled up, I think we must have been invisible as the waiters served every other table but repeatedly ignored us, I complained twice before our order was even taken. Later we ordered dessert, again we waited and waited, when I chased this we were told the kitchen was closed! We did eventually get dessert but again we felt very second class. For the price we paid I'd hoped for better.

Dear Emma J,

You are right, we can certainly do better and in fact we work hard every day to reach new targets, increase the qualiy of our services and provide more facilities and assistance to our beloved guests.

Paradù is recently opened and grows year after year. Our goal is to become more and more comfortable, eco-friendly and to reassure relaxing time to adults and great entertainment to children.

Regarding our private beach service, we remind that we actually have two sections but it is absolutely not a question of being first or second class. Simply we have one side with sunbeds for rent and the other side free for our guests to bring their own equipment. We consider this even a good option, providing more flexibility and freedom. Every guest lives in the Paradù according to his own preferences (self-catering or hotel services, sunbeds for rent or just lying on the sand with a towel...up to you).

As for the Pizzeria, we apologize if you had to wait too long. Not our standard. We can say that for sure it was a very busy night but we both know that service has to be satisfactory and of good standard even if the place is fully booked. Being fully booked is a daily routine in high season so, in that particular occasion, something did not work as well as usual. Very sorry again.

Thank you for staying with us and truly hope to welcome back in the future.

Warmest regards from the team
