This is a beautifully spacious chateau with lovely views and has been tastefully renovated by the owner.
We had a simply splendid family week here, 21, of us, 10 adults and 11 children!
The bedrooms are large and the bathrooms have been modernised to have walk in showers. There are nice lounges to sit and table tennis, table football and a pool table inside if the weather is bad. Outside, the swimming pool and sauna lovely when the weather is hot! There is plenty of shade.
There is a very large conservatory with a very long dining table, perfect for our family. We could all sit and eat together!
But the piece de resistance must be Elie and his lovely wife who worked so hard to feed us all! Quite an undertaking ! They worked tirelessly. With always a smile. The food was delicious and he catered for all our various intolerances brilliantly! He even made 19 pizzas with us, all different, one lunchtime! A real gem!

We have just returned from a large family holiday (16 adults and 8 children aged 1-10 years). CdR proved to be absolutely perfect for our needs. The main building is extremely spacious which meant that we weren't on top of each other all the time. The layout seemed somewhat labyrinthine at first (great for hide and seek for the younger children!) but we soon got used to navigating our way round. Bedrooms were all large and comfortable (although one couple did complain that their foam mattress in bedroom 13 was too hard - no complaints from the rest of us though). On site entertainment facilities were fantastic and we made a lot of use of the pool table, table-tennis, boules and tennis court. The bicycles enabled several of us to get out and about for trips into Le Bastide de Serou for coffees and beers, whilst the more energetic of us enjoyed some challenging climbs in the surrounding countryside.

The swimming pool proved to be the centre-point for much of the holiday and was absolutely perfect for this kids.

We opted to have most of our evening meals catered for us by Elie (the on-site manager) and his wife. They proved to be the most helpful and friendly hosts and the quality of the food was excellent (manging to cater for a variety of dietary requirements including vegetarian and gluten-free). The Chateau's wine cellar was extensive enough to meat our not inconsiderable needs!

Elie provided daily tips about local excursions and markets. For golfers, I can thoroughly recommend the local eco-golf course. It is in a stunning location, the greens were immaculate and it proved a good test of golf (quite a long walk so worth considering a buggy). We also thoroughly enjoyed the Rock and Roll Rafting experience, which was great fun.

Altogether a great holiday and a lot of happy family memories. Thanks again to Elie and his wife, and to owner, David, who provided a lot of helpful information and advice in the weeks leading up to our holiday.
