Surrounded mountains it's a wonderful place to visit; in one tour day you can visit any floating buildings with fabrics (cotton, lotus, silk, silver, tobacco) and restaurant.
The most suggestion is the quite of the stance life of this people...absolutely to accept in your journey!

Situated in southern Shan State,10km large,22Km long,You can observe the traditinal weaving(espcially lotus weaving)blacksmith, silversmith, making cheroot. And you can visit PhaungDawOo Pagoda (the most venerable Pagoda and famous Pagoda in Shan State),AlodawPauk pagoda and,Shwe Inndein was built by King Alaung Sithu in 12 Century (a group of stupas, there are about 1054 stupas scattered )1 half hour from Nyaung Shwe) looks like Ankor ,situated in North West of Inle Lake where there is a beautiful bamboo passage and long pavilions, but some of the stupas are renovated by donors. In October, there is the festival of PaungDawOo pagoda which takes at least 18days. If you want to visit Inle Lake you can hire boat at Nyaung Shwe jetty.Enjoy the senery and it worths to visit,if you have the time, you can visit and take mini trek in villages that around the lake like MineThauk village,ThaleOo village or Myaynigone village, You can get a grate time there.

Absolutely beautiful and charming. Seeing the boatmen who balance on one leg at the head of the boat while fishing and bringing in their catch in a huge basket was incredible.

Our driver Aung Aung from Mandalaybycar recommended us a boat tour on Inle Lake. We started about 8.30am in the morning and ended the boat tour about 4pm. We stopped by quite a few places of interest and also for lunch and tea break. Water started off quite muddy and eventually cleared out when we went off the small jetty towards the lake. There are farming on the water which was very new and interesting to us. It started raining in the afternoon and thankfully there were umbrellas on the boat! It was quite a nice boat trip, with mountain views and cool wind.

Inle lake is an extensive inland fresh water system that extends from north to south in a relatively remote Myanmar location. Tourism is taking it's toll especially in the north where many hotels, restaurants and attractions are taking advantage of the influx of visitors. Very few take time to explore towns and villages around the lake where there are some wonderful attractions little visited by non Myanmar guests. The hoard typically stays in the north part on short 1-2 day stays. If you have the time and patience the deep south will reward with low tourist numbers, interesting people and villages and some wonderfully quiet locations to watch 'real' Inle going about it's business.
We took a guide for our 6 day stay in the area and found wonderful religious sites, markets, agriculture and good local food. People love to chat and joke, but you'll need a local interface and then have fun.
