We spent a weekend here, and were quite disappointed with the experience. We come to the area often due to family, so have tried many cascine in the area.
The rooms are very basic, with old furniture, very dark, heating not on, shower not very hot (almost room temperature). Our room was above the kitchen and we could hear them washing dishes as we were trying to sleep. We had dinner one night, but the food is not representative of the region. Way too much salt was used, left us all thirsty. Breakfast was odd with focaccia and pizza.
We felt like we were intruding on their business, never an offer for a coffee at breakfast, or anyone around to greet you when you are coming and going, and the lights in the dining room (where you walk to your room) always turned off, making it dark even during the day.
Some of these things could be forgiven, if the price was reflective of the experience. But they ask too much for what they give. We won't be returning, much better in the area for less money.
