The view from the hotel was fantastic
Staff were friendly and professional
Food was mostly very good
Room was large clean and comfortable with everything required except TV reception was erratic
Price was about right for the standard of the hotel and the food
We had four very enjoyable days at the hotel
We would go again!

Room tip: Ask for a room with a view

We booked a last minute dinner, bed and breakfast break with our two dogs. The location is superb - very hard to beat. The welcome on arrival was friendly, personable and our room nicely located and comfortable. You can walk in the hills straight from the doorstep - part of what makes the hotel so relaxing.
Dinner was very good, with great service and a nice, relaxed ambiance. Breakfast the same. For the price this is great value and highly recommended. I have had customers stay here who say the same.
Ignore the people moaning about the lack of vegetarian sausages - accurately sums up their approach to life. Thank you to the hotel team for making our stay so enjoyable.

Having viewed the beautiful on line pictures we were excited about our forthcoming visit. We booked months in advance. The views lived up to all expectations and the staff were friendly.
Then, we were shown to our room, Room 7.
It was tiny and cramped with only a 4 foot wide bed which lacked a valence hence the bare duvet was on show. The decor dated. The ceiling had been recently painted and everything was paint splattered...even the telephone. When we found the ensuite it was accessed through a cupboard which I actually had difficulty fitting through. Tile grouting was loose and all over floor, uncomfortable if you had bare feet. On the whole it was clean but very cramped. It was not a comfortable stay.
The food however was very good but a bit pricey.
Over all I was disappointed with the room and the bed, it was really only fit for single occupancy and with all the notice we gave I expected a much better room. The hotel was not fully booked. We won’t return.

Having just experienced a terrible venue on a previous night arriving here and being warmly welcomed in this different but beautiful location it was true relief.
Incredible view from Juliet balcony (binoculars available in cupboard), comfortable room, fine toiletries, even a clothes brush which is seldom offered nowadays.
Dinner and breakfast were both of a very good standard.

Visited for afternoon tea with a friend on a sunny day.

We Sat outside and enjoyed the views over the Malverns.
The afternoon tea was good, though a little pricey for what you get. I have had afternoon tea in Hotel du vin in Poole for the same price and it was much better. The drinks were also quite pricy. Over £4 for a lemonade in a small bottle.

They accommodated dietary requirements well and the staff were all really friendly.
