My husband and I are in Italy for 2 weeks and we just came from Rome which is much like NY, LA or Chicago, very busy and too many restaurants to choose from!
Coming into the area was scary to say the least. The area is run down and uninviting. We arrived around 2:30 thinking we'd grab lunch when we got here. Wrong! They are serious about their riposo. We walked for an hour in search for ANY food. While we walked we noticed how many of the older building were being remodeled. I would guess that the Poseidon is one of the newer, more modern buildings around.
After discovering we'd have to wait to have lunch until 7 we returned to the hotel. The front desk called up to the restaurant to see if we could have a light snack now. Antonio not only gave us a beautiful hand picked appetizer plate for us he told us stories and kept telling us to take our time looking over the boats in the harbor.
Thank you Antonio for a special romantic afternoon 'lunch'. Can't wait to come back and see the progress of the area next year!More
