We dined here on Pasquetta, or Easter Monday. The restaurant prepared a prix fixe menu for the occasion, but graciously accommodated the vegetarian in our party. This meal was truly one of the highlights of our trip. First course was a braised artichoke with artichoke puree and was perfectly prepared. Second antipasto was a poached, breaded, and fried egg with tomato sauce. Pasta was hand-rolled (not through a dreadful metal machine, but with actual wood implements) and served with pork ragu and excellent-quality pecorino. The vegetarian received cheese ravioli with asparagus, which he reported to be excellent. The meat course was roasted pork with greens and roasted potatoes. The pork was well-seasoned and expertly cooked. The potatoes were spectacular. The vegetarian received roasted scamorza cheese with potatoes. For dessert, we had bomboloni, or cream-filled doughnuts, which were very well prepared. Service was kind and efficient. The location is really quite beautiful, and the whole meal including wine (white, red, and rosato), coffee, and water, was 35 euro per person. I could not ask for more!
