Well located hotel, very nice staff. We have been very well welcome and we have kindly been proposed a breakfast at 5.30 am as we had to fly back home very early. Great family room with a balcony and a view on the sea. Beach was 2 min away from the hotel.

Room Tip: rooms on the 2nd floor are nice and have a nicer view.

We have stayed at the Grillo hotel before and were thrilled with the politeness of the staff, beauty of the gardens (and pool) and most of all the excellent food!
Having delighted in the romantic atmosphere of the restaurant with tables surrounding the pool and candles around us last summer, we have now tried the restaurant in winter with just as much enthusiasm. We will definitely go back.

Clean, friendly staff and nicely located that's why we keep coming back year after year.
We love this place.
And don't waste your time and money elsewhere for a solid exquisite lunch or dinner, their kitchen rocks from antipasti to dessert. Absolutely awesome!

We recently spent two weeks touring southern Italy and stayed at the Hotel Il Grillo as our staging area. The Hotel Il Grillo is a beautiful property in the Taranto Italy area. The rooms were very clean, well appointed and offered views of the area and seas. The swimming pool was very nice, with lounge chairs for sunning and tables for lunch.

What really made this a delightful experience was the restaurant and the hotel staff. Each day the restaurant preparer (Lilli) would ask our party (6 adults) what we wished to dine on for dinner. Of course there were menu items, but she preferred to tailor our dinner to exactly what we wanted --- with no exceptions. I have never experienced such personalized service in all of my travels. Each dish that was prepared was unique to that particular region and were fantastic. Fish, pasta, veal chop -- one dish as good as the others. Truly a culinary dream.

The hotel staff (Alan, Georgia, Eva, Guisy and two others whose names escape me were dedicated to us having a fun-filled trip. With the exception of the included Itailian style breakfast, most of the meals are served in the front outside reception area or by the pool, which are both surrounded by gorgeous landscaping.

Thanks to everyone at the Hotel Il Grillo for making our travels so enjoyable and memorable.
