We stayed here for 3 nights and just wished that it was longer. Steve and Rob were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was full of French charm and the vineyards made the perfect backdrop for sampling their beautiful wine. We loved their wine tour and and playing pétanque with the other guests along with walks with Branston the dog but the highlight of our trip had to be sitting out under the stars with a lovely glass of their wine and great company.........absolutely fabulous!

Thank you so much for this lovely review. It was a pleasure to welcome you Clos Vieux Rochers and great fun playing petanque and getting to know you and share a glass of wine or two. We all hope you are able to return for another visit in the future.

Normally I would wait until I return home before reviewing however on this occasion feel it only right that I do so on the evening we left.
We had a truly wonderful time at Clos. From the initial very warm welcome, to the fascinating and informative wine tour and tasting, the relaxing well appointed gites and glorious surroundings.
It is obvious that Steve is experienced in hospitality as nothing is too much trouble nor is it left to chance.
I can have no complaint regarding this wonderful place. For me the star of the show is their wines. The St Emilion area certainly know how to charge premium prices for their wines however they are of no better quality than that at Clos.
It is in a wonderful part of the country and if you are a wine lover then it is a place not to be missed.

We had a fantastic time at Clos Vieux Rochers , Rob and Steve were the perfect hosts, the Gite was really comfortable and Steve brought us a delicious breakfast each morning. The Vineyard is ideally situated for a relaxing break, which we both needed. The vineyard tour and wine tasting was the icing on the cake, sad to leave but will look forward to a return visit.

We had a very relaxing stay at Clos Vieux Rochers which is set in lovely, tranquil countryside with its own vineyard. Our hosts were very friendly and made sure that we had everything that we needed. We appreciated the food snack that was waiting for us on our arrival.
Our gite was spotlessly clean and very well appointed with luxury bedlinen and towels. The breakfasts were really tasty and plentiful.
Rob gave us an extremely interesting tour of the vineyard and we really appreciated the beautiful red wine which we sampled. It was so good that we went home with several bottles!
We can recommend this place unreservedly and consider it represented very good value for money.
We hope to return one day.

Had a two day stay while traveling around France. I must say this is a hidden gem, very well laid out off the normal tourist rout. A very good place to recharge the battery's.
We had gite 4 it was well laid out with nice touches like the UK plug.
If you stay you have to do the wine tour I say tour more of a drink with lots of information thrown in with the owner who have a good sense of humour.
We had a great night taking about France and wine.
Also you will have to take Branston the lovable side kick who will take you for a long walk through the woods.

I hope to return next year I would not hesitate in recommend to stay here.
