I had a holiday here in August with my husband, son and daughter. Lovely little place- spacious rooms cleaned every other day. Only downside was no balcony.
Children loved the pool- breakfast had enough variety for all of us- chd liked the ‘treat table’ with crossiants and little cakes and pastries.
Lovely location- 25 min walk into main town /harbour- we enjoyed the Torre Playa restaurant.
We would stay here again- thank you!

Come along to this quirky hotel. We loved it and have rebooked for next year. We noticed some negative comments but we have learnt to love the place. The location is simply perfect. Quiet but near some lovely restaurants. The breakfast is amazing and caters for all. The restaurant is very good too.The staff are attentive and welcoming. A real gem

The rooms need updating but are all suites with living area, bathroom and bedrooms, how many depends on what you book. The kitchen area comes equipped with cooker, fridge, mircowave and washing machine. We had a juliette balcony with good shutters which given the heat were fully used. The steam room and sauna were closed but again due to the heat The sun terrace was clean and tidy and quiet while the pool was very busy with young families enjoying themselves 30 seconds to the beach 30 minutes to the center of town. Towels changed every two days same are rooms are cleaned but you can arrange daily cleaning if needed. There are a few restaurants around the hotel all are good one is very good. Antonia, on reception 8:30 till 16:30 mon to sat, is a fountain of knowledge. The maids are approachable, if you require something just ask. the hotel and the bar are separate but work together. Breakfast if extensive with cereals, continental and a hot breakfast all available and fresh.

I have stayed at this hotel on and off for the last 10 years and have always found the staff to be superb. The apartments haven't been updated during the time i have been going so there are some rough bits that could do with attention.

Housekeeping only cleans every other day, so be sure to ask which days during your stay this will be or you can find yourself without towels. It's no problem to get some extras but the reception isn't always staffed as there is only one person doing this for the 6 days of the week that the reception is open. If you arrive on a Sunday the keys will be left for you under the mat at the door, so it's a bit like a guest house in many ways too.

Once you are used to their quirky rules and don't expect it to be a hotel then expectations change and you have a fabulous time.

The restaurant will do a half board option which is great with kids, but the dinner doesn't start to 1930 so worth asking about ordering early to have food ready a bit quicker. If there is a large group there then the dinner will be a buffet style which is perfect so you can ask about this when booking.

Worth emailing direct to the hotel for the best rates.

The hotel is located a little walk away from the main part of Puerto Pollenca and it's a lovely stroll down to the cafes and with several beach side play grounds on the way a perfect spot for the kids.

The hotel pool is very seasonal and wasn't open in April, but it's also very small so would be easy to get bored of it. There is a decent municipality pool in Alcudia and you need to bring a swimming cap because everyone [men included] must wear a hat. You can buy them there if you forget.

I would definitely go back and stay again, the apartments have a kitchen and good size living area so it's perfect for a holiday with children.

The only gripe is the soundproofing is very poor and we had a neighbour that snored so it would wake us up! We could also hear his alarm seemingly 30seconds before he did which wasn't much use at 7am every morning!

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the front which will have a terrace off the lounge

This is a bizarre place to say the least, we stayed for a week with our 14 month old son thinking it was more of a boutique hotel than apartments. The pictures are misleading trust me. We arrived on a Sunday, there is no one on reception on Sundays and you will be lucky to find any staff at all. We were told our key was under the carpet outside the entrance. Our room had no balcony or outside area and had a building site to look out on to across the road. We complained about this the following day once work restarted, and was moved to a ground floor room. The first room also had a damp smell in the bathroom. Breakfast is terrible, unless you are German or like ham, pepper and Stilton as your first meal of the day. The cereal is stale and left out everyday in bowls, the bananas were bruised and black everyday which was a shame as my son eats these for breakfast. They had 3 high chairs, all of which were wooden and would be better placed in a museum, one had a nail sticking out of the arm rest. I pointed this out to one member of staff to which she showed no interest whatsoever. Rooms are only cleaned every 2 days, when you also get fresh towels. Having a toddler we would have preferred fresh towels every day, and for the price we paid for the stay it was the least I expected. The pool was never used by anyone, was often not cleaned out daily and the small pool for children was empty and had dirt in the bottom. A couple of the sun beds had bird poo on them and was never cleaned off. The one lady on reception seems to come and go at random times leaving no one else to speak to. She left on a Saturday around midday and I had to speak to the barman to borrow an iron to which his response was ‘the bar and hotel are separate’ and then grumpily opened a utility room to get me one. The whole place needs updating with new furniture and with a lick of paint. For an ‘apart-hotel’ this place is far too expensive, there is better value in Pollença I am sure. I wouldn’t stay here again if they paid me. Pollença is a lovely place, especially if you have children staff in restaurants are great with kids and there are plenty of climbing frames and slides dotted about along the beach to keep them amused. Just a shame that the Galeon ‘suites’ were not what we expected at all and I couldn’t help feeling all week that we had been ripped off.
