Booked a studio for this trip, but the room was just a standard hotel room, I guess they called it a studio because of the kitchenette that was part of the room. But this place is basically condos rented out, the rooms are all owned by people and not actually a full service hotel. The location of the hotel was probably the best part of it, because it was pretty close to being ski-in and ski-out (you still have to carry your gear for a short walk). The cafe on the first floor provided good breakfast, although not a large selection, but everything in the village is within walking distance of this hotel, so you never have to worry about picking up food or any supplies. The hotel has a ski shop on the first floor which makes it very convenient, and the great concierge staff can help you prebook and pay for everything on your credit card prior to your arrival. There is an onsen on the first floor, which is great after a full day of skiing. They clean your room every other day, which we didn't mind. The room has washer and dryer, along with a separate heated closet to dry your ski clothes, which was very useful. Any help you need, you can basically ask the concierge, although not always fluent in English, but they do a great job of helping out as much as possible.More
