we have used the Dukes Head on 3 occasions in the past and have enjoyed most of our food here.
on our last visit (8/10/11) we had 3 x cannalloni(£5.95) starters and 1 x red onion tart(£6.95) very tasty but tart is a bit over priced, good portions on cannalloni, for our mains we had 3 x rib of beef (£14.95 with bubble & squeek mash) and 1 x rack of lamb(£14.95) these were superb, my only complaint is that you get no Vegtables we ordered side dishes of mashed root veg(£3.25) and 2 x croquettes (2 per portion @£2.95) and finished with 2 x choux buns(£5.25 each) and 1 x almond tart with mascapone(£5.25) my tart needed a bit more cream as it was a dry, personally I think all were overpriced, we had 4 beers, bottle white wine and the bill came to £152.00 +10%) service was good. overall: nice meal but as I say for me a bit overpriced on certain items.
