Off the beaten path, but well worth the stay. This place is simply amazing. We stayed in the Abbot Suite which was rustic, clean, and roomy with fantastic views. The hosts were very attentive and available at all times. A great place to stay to get away from the city crowds for awhile.

Room Tip: The Abbot Suite is fantastic.

Fabulous hotel, rooms with really original and authentic decor but nice modern bathrooms. Lovely views of the mountains, very quiet, excellent breakfast and wonderful restaurant.
Owners and staff extremely friendly and helpful. You can even get a voucher from the hotel for a discounted rate to access the Marmore Waterfalls.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a view!

We walked from Spoleto to the Abbazia in a day. We arrived at 6PM and thought we were in an oasis. The manager could not have been nicer. The room was small but well appointed with a very pretty view of the watch tower across the valley.
The restaurant was actually a good value for where we were and the risotto was perfect. And you will never recover from their free breakfast it is vast and delightful.
If you are in this region the Abbazia is a must visit.

We recently had our wedding at the abbey. They held 40 of our friends and family for four nights and it was a blast. Their services and rooms were perfect. The venue itself was amazing for a wedding. Chiara and Federica were there every step of the way to help plan and coordinate. We chose Piermarini to cater all 4 days (see separate review) and they were great! I highly recommend this venue for weddings. Also, Alexsandro was fantastic helping with drinks and getting all our guests coordinated.

Thank you Abbazia and your wonderful staff!

Room Tip: rent a car as this is a walk from main village and you need it to get around these small towns

Dear Nima, thank you for your kind words about the abbey and our family.
It was a honor to host such an adorable family (Elisabeth and you, Paola and Robert) here at the abbey.
What about your "American/Italian" wedding? It wasa dream....
Un grande abbraccio da Federica,Chiara, Alessandro and the staff of the abbey.

Such an incredible venue for any event, especially weddings!! We had such a wonderful time and a very comfortable stay!! The views in this place are to die for.
You definitely need a car to get there, you will have a very difficult time climbing up the mountain if you take the bus!
