We have just come back from a family meal at this amazing restaurant in Forza D'Agro. We were treated to this meal by a Sicilian friend who has visited this place many a time. And all in good reason, the food and hospitality was second...to none. Little did we know what a feast we would have! Amazing value for money and great service. Amongst the best seafood we have ever had the pleasure to eat. The pistachio and langoustine linguine is a must have. The risotto was a close second. The sorbet and semifreddo for dessert were wonderfully refreshing and yummy. Altogether we must have had about 17 courses, including antipasti, primi, secondi, dolci and coffee too. 10/10 would recommend if passing through.More

Unfortunately, the restaurant is poor in comparison with others in Sicily. The portions are small for the prices asked. The starters are mediocre and the main dishes (fish) are descent, however for a dinner you should order at least two of them. The staff is nice,...however communication in English is difficult. I wouldn't come back.More

Absolutely amazing restaurant. Nothing fancy, you'd come there for a food, not an interior. My wife and I dined out outside (see the picture). They've got a fixed menu so my advice is to start with appetizers first as you may not have any room...left for the main course... Simona, the owner was very friendly and helpful. The waiter (do not remember his name) was trying to educate us about every appetizer he served - unfortunately we were not able to understand everything. It has been over six months we have been there so I do not remember everything but, I am quite positive we had either 12 or 15 different appetizers to try... We've been brave enough to go for the main course as well although we said no to pasta. Boy, I do not remember eating this much... Simona sent us a bottle of limonsela and liker for a desert. I highly recommend the restaurant, great experience. Thank you Simona!More

I spent with my family the Christmas lunch. The menu and wine was very good. I was impressed by the quality of the food and of the ingredients. Loads of fish cooked in very different ways. Stuff was very friendly. The only negative thing is...that the place is a bit small so not always the disposition of the table is ideal. I would recommend this family owned restaurant.More

The food was nice (very oily though), gluten free options available, nice service, fast serving. I liked it!

The food was cheap, gross, and rushed. One dish was baby shrimp in a cup of Thousand Island dressing. The food that was offered resembled the rejected food left at a bad seafood buffet. There are so many amazing seafood restaurants in Sicily. This is...NOT one of them.More

My wife and I made the effort to seek out this restaurant a couple of weeks ago, and you should as well. To reach the restaurant, it is a walk of about 300 meters from the main piazza parking lot at the top of the...hill, but more than worth it. Simona greeted us and explained in Italian that the specialty was fresh seafood, there was no menu, and that she would prepare and serve us many courses, including antipasti, primi, and secondi. Our meal included a Prosecco aperitif, a bottle of the very good house label white wine, something like fifteen courses of amazing seafood, including shrimp, mussels, baccala, swordfish, octopus, risotto, pastas, desserts, a glass of granita each, and two different digestivi, both homemade...all at a very reasonable price. Simona was very attentive, especially helping us with our limited Italian. This restaurant was a highlight of our month in Sicily...Simply an amazing, epic meal.More

Our group of 17,which may have helped, persuaded Simona to open after apleasant walk in the area surrounding the village.Mine hostess & husband/partner(?) produced course after course in rapid succession accompanied by many bottles of the local white. All were excellent! After a little limoncello the bill of...25 euro/head seemed painless in contrast to the excesses of Taormina. The bonus was happy ,vivacious Simona herself ,she deserves to succeed.More

We took the bus from Taormina to see the medieval village of F'Orza D'Agro and just happened to wander in to La Montagnola for lunch. What a piece of good luck! There was no menu. The hostess met us as we entered and said they...had only fish today and would that be OK. It was fine with us. She suggested we start with an antipasto and go from there. They then proceeded to bring out small plates with servings for 2 of octopus, peace spade stuffed, smoked salmon, peace stocko, small shrimp in a tasty mayo dressing nicely presented on scallop shells and a clam shell filled with a little tuna salad with nuts. All of these dishes were cold appetizers and, just as we were considering whether we could eat anything else, they brought out a dish of steamed mussels Sicilian style - the piece de resistance! It was a truly wonderful lunch with excellent food and service and all for only35 euros for the 2 of us and including mineral water and coffee. The restaurant is only a 5 to 10 minute walk from the main piazza, following sign for the Castello, past the main vista point, then branching off to the right when the Castello signs lead uphill.More

We went from Giardini Naxos to eat here, as we read positive reviews on this place. After we drove all the way there about 30 minutes, we finally managed to reach this place by foot, as it is not accessible by car. When we entred...the restaurant, we were welcomed by the host, I uess it might be the famous Simona, that told us that she cannot receive us as she was cooking only for groups and pople who booked a table on the phone. The place was emoty and there was only a table taken, with about 8 people. Today is Sunday the 9th of September. We arrived there around 8,30 pm. So, we left shocked by the rudeness and the agresivit of the host. By he way, as i speak perfect Italian, the lady thought we were Italians, so nothing to do with the fact we were foreigners. I will definitely not go there anymore, and advice everyone to refrain from it. We were actually lucky as we went to another great place where we had divine food - Il Priore de Gaetano, for which I wrote its review apart.More
