Good break with friends and lovely spa to relax in!

Use the spa and the restaurant, lovely food and wine.

Very close to Bicester so good to combine a spa package break for after a day at Bicester. Don't forget the voucher.

Dear D1694STcharlotteb I was very pleased to read your comments after your recent stay with us. I will pass on your comments to the chef and f&b team. We are located ideally for a shopping trip to Bicester Village outlet mall and as you say why not combine this with a spa break. I hope you will consider staying with us again when next in the area. One of the worst hotels I've stayed at, spent the day at Bicester shopping and just wanted to relax at the hotel. Checked in at 4:30pm and told they could not fit us in for dinner. We had to search for somewhere local and eat out!!
No way is this a 4* hotel, £180 a night is very overpriced for this below average hotel!! Add to that no robes in the room and the bar was awful - it was a side bar with old dirty sofas and no atmosphere or ambience. Not somewhere you would want to sit and unwind! There was a second bar, but this was not open and we were told for members only!!
I gave my number for the manager to contact me after we left and have given them the benefit of the doubt by waiting before posting a review.. guess what: no contact!

Really disappointing stay... Would not recommend!!

Room Tip: just avoid altogether

Dear Chris X I have read your review after your recent stay. I realise that the restaurant being full would have inconvenienced you and please accept my apologies. You could have booked for dinner on our web site or alternatively at the time you made your reservation and this would have avoided the situation you encountered. I genuinely do not recognise your description of the bar and you make no mention of any other facilities. Therefore I must conclude that the you have based your assessment on your disappointment. Unfortunately no one has passed on any message for me to follow up. Ian Pollock general manager

This is our second time here, and it won't be our last.
Room was spacious and bed linen crisp and bed comfortable.
On checking in, the front desk booked our table in the resteraunt as we didn't eat here on our last visit, and wanted to try the cuisine.
I had the hake,my husband had the Lamb 3 ways, both meals were excellent. For dessert we shared a cranacan( oat and cream), as I have had this dish many times before this was quite disappointing not enough taste rather bland.
We tried to book in for a treatment each, however they were booked up,so maybe next visit we can try the spa.
The staff are very nice and friendly, before dinner we went for a drink at the bar as the resteraunt bar was being tidied as a few guests had been a bit messy with children and crumbs on the floor. This bar I found like a waiting room,no atmosphere, the other bar is much nicer.
Also when we arrived at the hotel, when we were wheeling our cases through the entrance lounge, a lady with about 3 children had their toys and rucksacks strewn across the walkway adjacent to the spa entrance, which doesn't really give a great impression and it could have been be a hazard.
Nonetheless we had a very nice stay, breakfast was cooked well and service excellent.

Dear Alanorah B As a return guest we value your comments and I will be sure to pass them on to the team. I am very pleased you tried the restaurant on this stay and thank you for the kind comments on the quality of the main courses. I will be sure to pass on your comments on the crannachan . Thank you for your kind comments on the staff and service you received as this is key to a comfortable stay. I will ask the leisure reception staff to be more aware of potential issues with blockages from guests sitting in the area in front of their reception. I look forward to being able to host you to another stay with us in the not too distant future. Ian Pollock general manager

Good cooked breakfast
Didn't use spa facilities or eat in restuarant

This hotel had everything we wanted: lovely room spotlessly clean, quality linens, very quiet room, excellent breakfast (fruit yoghurt, variety of freshly baked breads and pastries, cheese ham plus FRESHLY cooked full English.and really helpful staff.Location is excellent for Bicester Village but not easy to find in the dark.If you want a quiet room then simply make this request (I would imagine the ones facing the courtyard could be noisy if there is a function happening)
