“Not happy with the customer service”
Review of Thai Airways

It has been over two weeks since we’ve been waiting for a response from Thai Airways and their baggage claim team.

During our journey from Islamabad to Sydney, some of our luggage was left behind at Bangkok Airport and arrived 48 hours later. One of the bags was severely damaged—covered in grease and with large holes, resulting in the destruction of many items inside. Despite submitting the claim form, we have yet to receive any update.

The lack of communication and the slow response time from Thai Airways is extremely disappointing and frustrating. We are left waiting for our claim to be processed without any clarity or progress.

It’s the worst airline i’ve ever flown with, the food service is extremely slow, they only serve you food 2 times in a 9 hour fly, and in other airlines they serve you food up too 5 times in a 9 hour flight, and are more concerned in your commodity. When I landed in the airport I had 2 hours to get my bags, do my check in, document my bags, and get on my next flight, so I was i bit of in a rush, I saw a personnel and asked him if he would let me cut through the line or open a different desk just for me so we could speed things up because my flight was leaving in 1 hour, he said to me “uhhh sorry I don’t know what to do” and he literally left, so I had to look for someone else because apparently he didn’t know how to do his own job. Once someone was already attending me, i told them i needed to buy another bag because they only let you one bag in your ticket, and they told me that i couldn’t buy another bag because they’re policy works different, the way they do it is by charging you excess baggage, these people charge more that 45 usd per kilo, they wanted to charge me $990 usd for a bag which i think is insane and no airline should EVER do that, I told the lady it was really expensive and she said “yeah very expensive” then i told her I would need a discount and she gave me a 9 kilo discount which reduced it to $585 which i told her was still to expensive and was inhumane to charge that for another bag, once I got to the boarding gate the flight got delayed, once I got on the plane they gave us water and food like 3 hours after us boarding, and they gave us food again six hours after. Also the food was disgusting. If you really want to be treated just like another customer go ahead fly thai. But there are so many good airlines, so don’t chose thai.

I recently flew with Thai Airways from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Bangkok, and then from Bangkok to Kathmandu, Nepal. The difference in the treatment of passengers on these flights was stark and disappointing.

To begin with, the aircraft on the Bangkok to Kathmandu flight, which lasted three hours, had no in-flight entertainment system. The food options were also limited. Those served first were offered a variety of choices, while the rest of us, who were served last, were left with whatever was remaining. This was particularly disheartening for my elderly parents, who did not enjoy the limited meal options they were given.

What I find most frustrating is the apparent discrimination. We Nepalese passengers pay the same fare as everyone else; we don’t ask for discounts, and these flights are by no means cheap. Yet, the services on a 90-minute flight from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok were much better and more in line with international standards. Thai Airways brands itself on modernity, innovation, and progress, but this experience felt like a clear disparity in treatment towards passengers from a developing country. I am deeply disappointed.

Extremely reluctant service, you would get better service at almost any other airline, even some pay for everything airlines. There's no menu to order what you want from the screen and when you call on the waiters to serve you drinks they insist you have to go to the middle of the plane to get served. Instead of keeping passangers safe in their seats in case of turbulence they want us to get up and walk to get service.

BEWARE SEAT CHANGE
Many months ago we booked the flight including our favorite seats.2 days before the return flight we got an email .DUE TO OPERATION REASONS YOUR SEAT HAS BEEN CHANGED FROM 16A to 20 E.from a nice window seat to the back row in the middle.
what probably happened a few days before departure somebody with good connections to Thai employees in the munich office booked a flight and wanted a good window seat therefore we were kicked out of our seats and moved to the back.
They have no respect for you.As this was not the first time we have dicided to avoid using ThainAirways International in the future.
