Review of TAP Air Portugal

TAP Air is the worst experience I've had at an airport maybe ever. And I travel a lot. First, they screened me at the check in gate like I was a criminal? I'm a small woman, and I was traveling with my boyfriend. They took my passport and 10 people were looking at it confused for about 10 minutes? They never explained to me why the whole time. Then they asked for my boyfriend's passport? He was on a whole different reservation and had already checked his bag. I sat by the check in gate confused with no answers for about an hour. was freaking out because they just kept saying I was high priority security with no explanation? Me a small sleepy woman just trying to check in?

I was really scared and concerned. I kept asking, they just said they're on the phone with the US government? What does this even mean? Then they told me this happens all the time, what! They finally let me check my bags saying I could get on the plane, when the plane was boarding! They told me to run. I had shown up 2 hours early to not have to run to my gate. I was exhausted by the time I got to the gate. We would've just left if they didn't already check my boyfriend's bag.

On the airplane, they don't even serve water. Even after I ran through the airport. They didn't serve water the whole flight! The flight attendants just ignored everyone, except for comfort class. I watched them form a conga line through the aisles. It was almost comical how horrible they were. Plus no wifi, no cares at all from the flight attendants.

I hope to never fly TAP again.
I travel to Portugal often now though, so I hope to find a better alternative. :(

i have not yet even flown and it has been a terrible experience. I have not been able to log into their website using my TAP frequent flyer number, user ID nor passwords (continually told to create a new password). I have made numerous calls and sent complaints - have yet to get any resolution - - - - very very very frustrating!!

I had some personal issues and I had to change my flight. A TAP agent told me that if I cancel the ticket I could get a tax refund, I paid 352 euros of taxes, so I was confident the best option would be to cancel the flight. But I only got 80 euros as a tax refund. They have not been honest and clear. If I knew that, I would not have cancelled the ticket and found an alternative!

Worst airline I’ve ever flown. Weird bag rules. Flight attendants do not do their jobs. Lots of crying babies. Seat upgrade was useless. WiFi does not work. Most definitely the worst airline experience I have ever had and their online customer services is terrible. Their website sucks so if you have any issues it’s impossible to report them.

This airline is a joke, should be considered as a low cost. The gate ground staff has seriously manners problem, they don’t know how to treat people and are extremely rude, also even if you have bought a cabin luggage, they FORCE you to sent your luggage as a checked-in one, and what for? Nothing, when the plane in fully boarded you can see the overhead cabins empty.
