We arrived at Athens Airport 2.5 Hours before flight and checked our identical bags in nice and quick. There is no good news from here. It is a 45 minute flight to Samos. Disembarked and only one of our bags came out. Then along with another 6 or so people had to put up with chaos and Gold Air handling. We spent the next 24 hours ringing Samos Air Port ( The lost & found rings out) and also the Main Call Center ( who cannot help as they don't have any direct updates from Samos to Athens). We kept getting taxis to the airport and waiting to try and find representatives from Gold Air or Olympic but told they were busy. Eventually we found our luggage outside a door to the Gold Air Office 24 Hours later. The poor service and lack of communications shows Olympic/Agean have real problems with customer service and cannot carry out a basic service of getting luggage to your destination on time. Additionally dealing with lost luggage is met with no communication or care. If you travel with Olympic make sure you take another bag with spare clothes, toiletries and medicines as it is a lucky dip and try not to put luggage in the hold as they cannot be trusted. You have been warned. There are other services to Samos that have bigger planes and better service. Olympic contract out to Gold Air, and unfortunately they cannot manage them or there poor customer service. I said this airline has problems .Not once did Olympic say SORRY, I guess that reflects the airline.
