we are not sure of timing, so do you think we have to buy tickets for lava center ahead of time, or when we arrive at the center. Will be there Sunday Aug 27 around 10 am?

We stopped there on our drive down to the south coast and decided not to go in. It wasn’t busy at all, so I think you will be fine buying tickets on the spot.
