Will keep an eye on the weather and carry a winter safety kit. But being from Texas, we are not used to driving in snow.
Are Indian Rte 59 and US 191 S tricky roads to drive? Are they snowed in or icy during winter?

16 helpful votes US 191 is basically flat. Because it's a state highway, if there's snow, the road crews will be out clearing snow as soon as it starts to accumulate (2 or 3 inches). Indian Rt 59 is on Native American lands. It will also be be pretty flat. However, I have no idea what kind of snow removal equipment is available for clearing snow.
it's impossible to predict what the weather will be like in that region on December 30. Snow is not common in that region. But that's not to say it can't happen. Be fully aware of the weather. Be prepared to delay travel, even if it means an overnight, until road crews have been able to clear the roads.
