Construction Impacts

This work will require closures around-the-clock, meaning 24 hours a day, for two weeks of three of the bridges that connect I-84 and I-5 in July and August 2018. Only one bridge will close at a time.

The bridge that connects I-5 northbound to I-84 eastbound will only require nighttime closures.

In addition to the two-week closures, overnight ramp closures could occur nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through November 2018. More details will be available as construction progresses.

The following ramps will close for 24 hours a day for up to two weeks:

10 p.m. Sunday, July 8 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 23: I-5 southbound ramp to I-84 eastbound closed

10 p.m. Wednesday, July 25 to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6: I-84 westbound to I-5 northbound closed

10 p.m. Friday, July 27 to 5 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 2: Only one lane open on I-84 westbound from Lloyd Center to I-5. The far left lane will remain open during this period.

10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17 to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27: I-84 westbound to I-5 southbound closed leaving only one lane of I-84 westbound open from Lloyd Center to I-5. The far right lane will remain open during this period.

Those time periods could be a mess.

Looks like we will be fine as we are traveling on July 22 and plan to go North on I-5. I will check out the other thread too. Thank you for the helpful information!

Are you staying in Cascade Locks? Just a heads up.. it is pretty loud there from freight trains every 2 hours.. Just so you know if you are a light sleeper.
