We've been to Vegas a couple of times now and are coming over for my mum's 66th birthday. She loves a dances (as do we!!) but ŵe want to steer clear of the trendy places. Is there any where on the strip that's recommended?

I would recommend the Bar at Times Square in NYNY, especially if its a Saturday night. The dueling piano guys play music of all ages and there is loads of dancing and participation from the audience. Its cool to get a table, even although it costs $25 a head as you then get waitress service all night.
I celebrated my 40th there and there were 2 different families celebrating 60 birthdays from Nebraska and Texas and by the end we were all dancing together.
Great night out in my opinion.
The Bar at Times Square is a lot of fun for sure....I love going there...but it is also very loud...not sure how loud you all enjoy your music...we had to write notes back and forth on napkins to converse in there lol.
another recommendation for Dueling Pianos. Have had a lot of fun at the one at Harrah's and my wife and I are planning to do the one at Monte Carlo this trip since we are staying there.
If your Mom wants to dance to music from the 60's-80's, I would recommend the Nitekings in the Orleans Lounge on Wednesday nights.
We had lots of fun at the bar in the Paris hotel , live band and great people watching and dancing .
Wow - thanks for your ideas! I'll be sure to let you know which ones we try. I love the duelling pianos suggestion! Thanks again.
