I am about to book our train ride for next weekend, but the forecast says a 30% chance of storm. Just wondering if that is usually accurate, if it’s likely to rain? Also, we have two little ones, just wondering how tolerable it would be in the gondola area with a little rain?

30% chance means you should be prepared for rain but pretty low probability. Just have rain gear and jackets at the ready.

Forecasts a week out in the mountains are pretty innacurrate. In September at that altitude you will want layers and water/wind resistant clothing anyway.
