Has anyone utilized a tour company to do a combined tour like this? Thanks in advance!

It would be difficult to put together as it involves 2 different countries. It would make more sense to get tours of each separately and just book your own flights-

Jeff the best recommendation is to make the two destinations on your own, it is easy and safe and you can save your money. When you arrive at your hotel on Easter Island you can speak with the staff and they can recommend the best tour to visit the main places on the island. Another option is to rent a car to move inside the island. In Peru, your base city could be Cuzco and from Cuzco, you will begin many tours, some of them go to Machu Pichu for a daily tour or others go for two or three days including Aguas Calientes or another small town. The best option to go to Machu Pichu from Cuzco is by train.

Feel free to ask here if you need more information about your possible travel, good luck
