Tea Ceremony (English) recommendations

Would love to experience an authentic tea ceremony when I visit Tokyo/Kyoto end of March.

Can anyone offer their recommendation(s)?

Unfortunately, tea ceremonies that are conducted in English are not so authentic as they cater to foreign tourists who don't know much about tea ceremony. That said, I think En in Kyoto is pretty good:

We had the most wonderful experience with tea ceremony Camellia a few years back in Kyoto. She's since opened an additional location, which looks beautiful. We chose a private ceremony and found it a wonderful way to experience the beauty of the ceremony and chat more generally about Japan, customs, life.

I realize this message is probably too late for the original poster, but perhaps it will be useful to someone else. We went to a tea ceremony today at the Kyoto Concierge Salon. This was a fantastic experience. Shiho was adorable, friendly, knowledgeable, and really made the experience enjoyable and meaningful. She explained the history and some of the spiritual meaning behind the ceremony. Her English is excellent. Maruo was charming and generous. We were taught the tea ceremony, and then we had an opportunity to make the tea ourselves. it was a wonderful experience! Highly recommended! http://concierge-salon.com (for the record, I have no affiliation with the salon; I was simply a thrilled attendee.)
