Danang - December worth going? will it be a rainy season?

Hi, i really keen to see Danang in December. But was abit worry on the weather after reading online the weather forecast during this timing.

I can either choose Sept or Dec for this trip, hence can anyone with the experience during these 2 months highlight me what's to expect between the 2? Or which is a better option to travel?

Any advise will be deeply appreciated...

Thank you in advance.

Jacqueline

We are also spending 1st 10 days of Dec in Hue, Hoi An and Danang so this is of interest to me. Our research suggests that we will experience some rain but not every day

Sept usually sees more rain, but also more sunshine.

Dec sees less rain, but it's more cloudy.

First week of Sept; I'll take it, especially if you like the beach.

Second week; I'll chance it.

Otherwise, I'd go with Dec.

But if it was me, I'd go some place else between September and January.

Plenty other places in VN for each season.

Good luck deciding.

Palawan,

All these places have their own charm in December; it's just not beach weather.

In a normal year, Huế especially can be quite poetic.

The morning fog, on the days that it appears, give a more mystical air on the Perfume River and the lagoons (Tam Giang, Chuồn, Sam, etc.) and the various pagodas and tombs.

Some time ago (a long time ago), I had recounted on the forum that there are probably more poems and songs about Huế than anywhere else in Vietnam, especially in that season.

But there's never a sure thing with typhoon; you would know, coming from the Philippines.

Cheers,

Sorry to jump on board.

What’s the last week in October generally like?

Is the short and sharp? Or persistent throughout the day?

I’m guessing the former?

"What’s the last week in October generally like?"

Who knows, from year to year.

Personally, I'd be nervous, and while l would still plan to go if that was what l really wanted to do, I'd have a plan B in the back of my mind just in case.

Weather questions should all be in general terms...who knows, not even the forecasters. Dec. is the end of the rainy season in DaNang but that doesn’t preclude you g3tting poured on at anytime.
